I'm so happy I had to share! I got Julie bf'ing again. The ped told me to offer a bottle first so she is calm and not starving....and I gave her an ounce and then tried to latch her on and she took it and is bfing as I type!

YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

yay, great stuff! really pleased for you.

next time you start noticing early signs of hunger, put her straight on the breast and you may be able to bypass the bottle altogether

That's what I'd recommend too. Giving the bottle too much could cause nipple confusion or make your LO upset when your BM doesn't come out as fast as the bottle.

BFing, especially during that first month, can be really tough but I promise you it gets MUCH easier! My DD is 6 months old now and it's much easier now.
