How many times did your docs check your beta HCG levels?

So far my pregnancy has been totally uneventful (no bleeding, cramping or any other symptom other then being tired). My doc wants me to come in tomorrow for my third blood draw. It was 393 on Tuesday (I don't know what the first level was on Friday). The only thing "different" about me is that I was on clomid and did IUI. I am starting to feel like this is excessive and everything I read says docs won't normally check unless there's a problem. She keeps saying everything is fine, so I'm not sure why all the tests.

I'm just annoyed because I have to take an hour off of work each time, and then I have to work late to make it up. I'm really fatigued and I feel like working late can't be good for me or my little bean!

Also, I feel so bloated! I could swear I have a little bump already even though I'm only 5 weeks! I know it's all in my head and just because I'm hot and bloated.

REs usually like to keep up with you with the first few weeks, so thats probably why...
I was with an RE when I got pregnant, but I was having a non-medicated cycle...so he wasn't involved with the actual cycle itself...nonetheless, I got 2 beta tests, and I got an U/S at 6 weeks and 9 weeks...

Just think of it as extra evidence that your littl e bean is healthy

I asked my doc to draw betas at my first visit and I'm so glad I did because two days later I ended up having a ton of bleeding and went to the ER. At the ER they drew labs and we were able to compare to my last set.

I had mine drawn 3 times. My doctor said it was for my benefit (because of my previous 3 miscarriages) so I knew things were going well. He also did 2 early ultrasounds (6 weeks and 10 weeks) for the same reason.

I had 3 betas drawn just of peace of mind. I'm guessing maybe it's because of the clomid, and IUI and they want to make sure everything is going ok.

Mine was drawn once....I also had an IUI. I didn't feel the need to have them drawn and would not have - but I developed a really bad rash on my trunk area and saw her and she wanted to get my beta and progesterone checked.

I did get a second beta done....but it was done by my brother. I was having some serious abdominal pain and couldn't get ahold of my gynecologist to ask for another beta, so I just called my brother who is a doctor and he sent the order over to the hospital.

I had 3 betas drawn at the begining. And since them I have had a HCG and Progesterone drawn every two weeks. I had an U/S at 5w and 6w and will have another at 8w and then my first midwife appointment is at 10w. I conceived using FET so they did lots of extra monitoring. Extra reassurance I guess. It seems pretty common when medical treatments have been used.

I had 2 beta draws at the beginning - one at 9dp5dt and one at 12dp5dt.. Then 2 more about a week or so later for some unexplained pain. I also got early ultrasounds as well.

We did IVF.

Thanks everyone! I think I was just grumpy. I got my third results today. It went from 393 two days ago to 1041 today! Doc says we can stop with the blood draws now.

My first ultrasound is scheduled for July 7th. I'm so excited, and DH can take off from work that day too so we can both see!

Ooh good levels and I can't wait to hear how your ultrasound goes. I did iui with femara and they did 2 blood draws. One at 15dpiui and 17dpiui. Then I had 2 ultrasounds before 9 weeks.

We did IUI with injectables through our RE. He monitored me 13dpo (i had a + test at that point) and 2 days later, then week 5 and 6 and also an ultrasound on week 6, 7,and 8--then i was released to my OB. They do monitor closely, but I didn't mind. I knew it was all in precaution and it assured me we were in good hands.
Oh and mine was also uneventful...and 27 weeks later--still uneventful. Never had one weird thing...which of course worried me too...LOL
