Bare with me I'm sure this will be lengthy!
I'm finishing my masters degree in 2 weeks!!

I had come to the conclusion that I wouldn't be applying for any jobs once i get it because i'm pg and don't want to deal with all that hassle you know? Well, today at work in my mailbox there was an inhouse position available. Usually i throw these right out but this one was pretty much my same job but in a different office and it was 40 hours a week instead of 35. AND it was a 9-5 instead of the crazy hours i work now.
Here's the kicker, we are merging with a larger organization in the coming months. If you work 30-39 hours the medical insurance with a child added is significantly more expensive than if you work 40 hours! So i could essentially pay half the price for medical insurance if i get this 40 hour a week job and the merge goes through. The downside? i drive 5 min to work right now and this new job would be a 45 min commute, all backroads. However, I think the pay is better.
Is is worth it for the health benefits? I'm leaning towards yes! I can either pay 105 dollars a week or 60 dollars a week!? something along those lines anyway.
I'm getting ahead of myself tho because who knows if i'll even get the job KWIM? However, this would be my 3rd different job within the same agency. Last time i switched from case manager to counselor I applied one day, interviewed the next, and got offered the job on the 3rd day

However, the HR that i talked to today knows i'm PG but no one else does... so i don't think she can tell anyone that (aside from CEO which i'm sure she already did) but i'm wondering if that will affect my chances since my office is super slow and this new job is way more fast paced..? Plus it would be easier for them if i took maternity from this job instead of the new one i'm sure since it's so much more busy...
well i handed in my cover letter and resume today so i guess we'll see what happens!!!!! Thanks for listening!
