I have been checking out the diaper dude bags. I think they're really cool and while I will have Tyler myself for the most part, when we go places with family it would be nice if B would carry SOMETHING. So i'm thinking of maybe getting him the diaper dude camo bag. I think its really cute. I bought a Vera Bradley bag for myself and i KNOW he won't carry that! So i'll be lucky if he carries the baby i guess and i can carry all of the junk! Does your DH have a bag he carries for baby or is he good sport and just carries what you pack.

I have the Jujube "Be All" messenger bag. It's brown and green. I figured I would get a diaper bag that DH would be okay carrying too. It's such a hassle to get another bag packed especially when you're in a hurry to go somewhere or you have a difficult baby. So for us it's much easier to just have one bag.

I just bought a black and white diaper bag... It is kind of girly, but not CRAZY feminine so DH is okay with carrying it. I agree that it seems like a lot of hassle to keep two bags packed all the time. Talk to B, he might be more okay with it than you think

Funny this would come up today. I JUST talked to DH about this last night. He said whatever diaper bag I got he would be ok with carrying. He said on the off chance he has the baby by himself somewhere everyone will know it is a diaper bag and he really won't care (probably cause he will have his hands full with the baby) and when we are together he will either have the baby or the bag and he was fine with that.
I told him I would still get a "daddy friendly" bag since I am not really into to pink and girly anyway and he said that was fine.

DH has a gear/tactical bag that we use. He paid over $100 for it (my jaw dropped cause I'm cheap) but it can also be used to carry weaponry when we no longer need it. It's really handy though and I don't use either of the 2 other ones we have. It is solid black and looks like a backpack but more heavy duty. It also has a chest strap that is a must from now on because I've found that the shoulder bags keep falling down and are a pain, but this one is secure.

LeeAnn that sounds like something B would love. He is a weapon lover...
I did ask him cheryl and he was like, yeah right?! Part of me thought about buying it anyway since he IS a boy and i can use it as he gets older since my VB bag is BIG. I guess i can always have dipes and wipes in both and then just pack the particulars when we get ready to go somewhere. I have several friends who have rotated out bags...i agree it sounds like a pain but i don't see it being that bad...maybe b/c i haven't had to pack a diaper bag and try to get out the door with a baby and everything else!

We use Dh's bag rarely, but, i have a big Coach and he wont carry it if there are times when he'll be the main baby caregiver (of course if we're somewhere together and i have to go to the bathroom or something he'll hold it but i mean taking him out alone)... so we had to get something else. There will be times when he does have to take him out without me like when he's with him and i'm getting ready for my sisters wedding etc.. i dont really think its a big deal to "pack up the bag" we keep everything ready to go in my bag most of the time then on the rare occasion that we use dh's we know way in advance so its not really like i'm rushing around to switch everything. We'll also use it when we're going outdoorsy places or somewhere mine could potentially get really dirty since his is waterproof.
Plus, i figure i had fun picking out the bag i wanted and he should have the same pleasure! (and he really did think about the pattern he wanted for a long time... dh is particular like that.... he's got the orange one with the dragon).

I have 2 diaper bags. One big one (that's brown and green..I wanted neutral for the next baby too) and the other is an awesome bottles and bottom tote. One side is for diapers, wipes, toys, etc. the other side is insulated for bottles and food. LOVE it! DH carries that if he has Bella by himself because its smaller and can wear it like a messanger bag. I got it at walmart I actually use it all the time unless we are going out for a long time, then I'll take the other one with me.

DH has a bag of his own, but he rarely carries it. If I'm going to be gone for a good portion of the day, I will pack it for him to take with him. But if he's just running out with the baby for errands or something, he takes our everyday bag (blue floral). It's just easier since it's usually fully packed and stocked all the time.
Here's the one he has. It wasn't that expensive though... BRU carried it at the time, and we just put it on the registry. Amazon.com: Navy Eddie Bauer Weekender Diaper Bag: Baby

I carry a largeish denim purse with diapers and stuff in it, and we have a black vinyl bag in the car if we ever need more stuff for some reason. Jeff doesn't carry my purse (obviously), but he carries Josie everywhere we go together. He says she's his favorite thing to carry And if he's ever out with her, I guess he'll use the car bag.

We are pretty cheap, so our diaper bag is just one of those reusable shopping bags that you get at the grocery store for a dollar...it works great

Our diaper bag is a black and white polka dot one, so dh just carries it. We did get a manly one at the baby shower, but he has used it I think once! Normally when we go somewhere together I am the one carrying the bags and he carries the baby as she is so heavy

We have 2 and neither are girly. My fav one is the one I got from Nestle - not sure if they offer it to the US girls... but the Nestle.ca site sends us a free diaper bag!
