I was just curious because today I thought I had swallowed a bolder my stomach was soooo tight. I was not in pain just uncomfortable. I read and I think I determined it was Braxton Hicks there was only a couple of times it happened and it was very spaced out like hours apart. I just wanted to see if anyone else experienced them this early. I am almost 25 weeks, will be on Monday. I have been watching too many baby delivery shows and am overly paranoid about this little booger coming too early.

^^Ditto. But I do know people in real life that say they had braxton hicks contractions very early on and continue through the end of pregnancy.

I just had some last week. I think it's totally normal for some people. Try not to worry.

I can't remember exactly how far along i was but i'm pretty sure it was before 30 weeks. It doesn't mean your LO will come early so don't worry. They're completely normal and just your body's way of practicing for the real thing

I had them beofre my first trimester was done. By 24w they were so often that I went on meds to stop them. It's totally normal for you to have them, especially when they are spaced out.

Thanks ladies. That eases my mind some. I had another one last night and I had some CM that was brown. I worked 6 hours yesterday after being off for 3 weeks. So I did not get to rest as much as I have been. I am just taking it easy today and drinking lots of water. Thanks for humoring a paranoid mommy to be

if you start noticing an increase in your CM with these braxton hicks, call your doctor. It's one thing to have some tightening going on but not with incresaed CM ith a brown tinge.
I started around 27 weeks with BHs.

I actually had my first *for sure* BH contraction the very day I hit 25 weeks! I've been having them on and off, sometimes they even wake me up in the middle of the night. Totally normal! The tinged CM might be worth bringing up with your doctor though, just to be on the safe side. Probably nothing, but it is worth a look just to be sure!

I had mine at 18 weeks but the Dr said it's completely fin as long as they dont become painful or cause youe cervix to change. Just make sure to let your Dr know if you have more than 6 in an hour!

I don't know when mine started... I thought it was him pushing on my tummy and I told my midwife at one appt. She felt my tummy and told me that it was BH! I had no idea!

I believe mine actually started about 18 weeks. By 22 weeks I knew for sure it was indeed the BH's I was feeling. I did go into preterm labor at 33 weeks, but that's because I was having more than 6 an hour and wasn't taking it easy. If you start to get them more frequently definitely let the dr know. I actually didn't tell my dr I had been feeling them (didn't want to seem paranoid or anything!) Take it easy if you feel like you're doing too much!
