Is it normal to be losing mucus every time I go pee? After every time, I see mucus either in the toilet or on the TP, it's usually beige or yellow-green (sorry for TMI), and it's a whole chunk of it. This happened to me during last pregnancy too, but that's when my water broke at 17 weeks. I'm scared I might be losing pieces of mucus plug? I asked my dr, but he says it could just be from irritated cervix. Anyone have any similar experiences? I'm freaking out.

At this stage, it is probably your mucus plug actually *forming*. It isn't even fully formed until some time in your 2nd month, if I remember correctly. Plus, if it is white or yellow, it could just be excess discharge (which is normal at all stages of pregnancy, but especially the beginning and the end!)

Mine looked somewhat like what you're describing, and I just had a nice long chat with my midwife about it... She said it could be either a piece of my plug (because I'm so far along) or just excess discharge that built up. But she *did* say that usually, your mucus plug will have some sort of pink or reddish tint to it!

I wouldn't worry too much (I know, easier said than done) - baby is growing away just fine in there!

ETA: It could also be an infection if it is yellow or green, I'd go in and see your doc just to be sure!

I had a lot of mucousy discharge in the beginning of my pregnancy as well! My dr. said it is normal and in regards to your mucous plug, it continually replaces itself until full dialation and effacement occurs! My dr. said its just like your nose, continually producing snot!
If you feel like something isn't right though I recommend you go in just for your own piece of mind, that's what you are paying your dr.s for!
