Hey, so I have noticed the last couple of days that Rayanne seems to have sour milk breathe. I am EP for her, and feed her from a bottle. Is there anything that I can do to get rid of the smell. I know it's not her fault, but just wondering if there is anything that I can do. I'm also wondering if this is because I am bottle feeding her, or do BF mom's notice the same thing?

Thanks

It is a sign of reflux....I only know that cause we saw the ped for Julie's reflux. I'm sure there can be other causes though.

*She is bottle fed only but gets bm and formula*

Kennedi has the same breath whether we had just breast fed or bottle fed breast milk. She also has reflux so I'm not sure what the cause is of it or if there is anything you can do to prevent it

Kaiden is EBF, and he pukes like poltergeist, LOL!!
He gets stinky everything, but sometimes when he pukes up the cottage cheese stuff (a while after feeding) it gets stuck under his double chin and then smells so bad - like rotten cheese - after I get it out...

I dont have any suggestions, but know that all the reflux babies have something similar

She has recently started spitting up more. Not every time, but maybe every second time she is fed. As long as she isn't the only one, and it's not something wrong with the way that I am heating the breast milk to feed it to her. If she spits up lots more, then I may have to take her to the Dr. but I think she's ok for now.

Tonya...I never thought of it being milk that gets in her double chin...I do put a bib on her when I feed her, but I may have to try washing her chin when I smell it...and see if that helps.

I notice it from time to time with Lexi, usually just after her night feeding when I'm laying next to her and she's sleeping. She is breastfed/bottle fed breastmilk, but always gets nursed for her nighttime feeding. As far as we know she doesn't have any reflux issues and she only spits up occasionally. I actually use these baby teeth wipes someone got me for my shower to clean her gums during the day, but since I usually nurse her to bed I don't use them after her night feeding, which is why I think she gets the milk smell.
