Okay, so it seems like every day something else is happening that makes me think this baby is WELL on her way. Saturday, lost a piece of what I think was my mucus plug. Sunday, mild contractions. Monday, dizziness and dreams of my water breaking. Tuesday, PAINFUL contractions. And now Wednesday... (TMI alert) - Loose stool.

I've NEVER had this for my entire pregnancy, except when I had food poisoning. That was actual diarrhea though, accompanied by major vomiting. This was just loose stool.

Even more unusual is that I'll typically go 2-4 days without a BM, and always have. That is normal for me. They're typically on the harder side of things, and (okay this is WAY TMI but) when I eat something like corn, I don't see it for a few days. I ate corn last night.

I saw it this morning in the very loose stool, after I had already had 3-4 BMs yesterday.

It's like I'm clearing out completely!

I know this entire thread is probably WAY tmi, but I know that can be a sign of impending labor... Am I just freaking out at all of these signs? I know that I can still probably go for weeks like this, maybe even end up past 40 weeks despite all of this going on, but it is kind of freaking me out that so much just started happening all at once.

Anyone experience that symptom and NOT go into labor for awhile? I still have 9 more days until she's 37 weeks and I can have her at home... Going into labor now would mean going to the hospital and she'd be in the nursery for awhile! I don't want that

I started getting loose stools about 4 or 5 weeks ago and Fisher is still hanging on in there! I was like you where I would only go once every couple of days and since they started I go a couple of times a day now at least!
I really do think its a sign of your body "cleaning itself out" but I'm proof it can do that for weeks with no birth!

Thanks Tiff, that does make me feel a little bit better. I just don't want her to come too early!

Although I'll probably be going nuts by the time I hit 38+6 like you are now, telling her she can come out! LOL

I definitely had this......
i thought for sure labor was soon coming, but I was wrong.....Mine started at 36 weeks and continued off and on along with irregular contrax for the next almost 6 weeks when labor happened. My MW and I really thought he was going to come around 37 weeks or so right around/after xmas but we were completely wrong when he was past due! from all my so called early labor and signs that labor was on the rise he fooled us and came 12 days late! this time around i'm not thinking into any of that until i have regular contractions

I had that for a couple of weeks prior. I also had regular contractions for a month and a half, but she still hung out until 38 weeks (with the couple of weeks of meds and bedrest) Try to relax and enjoy your last days of pregnancy. If you obsess over all the signs it will only make you anxious and miserable when they don't lead to anything (trust me!)

I had it two weeks before going into labour - I kept thinking it was a sign! Everything was a sign! Enjoy your last few weeks Cheryl!! Stay positive and try to enjoy it!

The day I went into labour, I was dancing and singing. The days before - I was MISERABLE!

Can't wait to meet Isabella!
