i'm almost 4.5 months PP, and absolutely no sign of her...want to try again as soon as she arrives...just want an idea for when that will be...
I'm EBF, and he is constantly eating - like every two hours during the day...was just wondering when everyone else got their first when EBF??
FWIW - will probably start oatmeal within the next few weeks...and solids soon after that...if i end up going back to work, i will have no choice but to supplement, but if not, i will BF until he wants to stop...
thanks

Wait- are you considering quitting your job ?!?!
I am EPing and haven't had a PP AF yet but I started spotting last week. I have weaned down to 5 sessions per day so I say the less you nurse/pump the more likely she'll return. BUT some people get her early anyway. It just depends on your body.

I gave birth to Christian on Sept 2, my PP bleeding lasted until November (yes, November!) and I got my first PP AF approx 4 weeks after my PP ended and AF came regularly after that as well. I was annoyed because I was EBF and hoping to be AF free for at least a few months. I'm expecting my body to be awesome like that again this time around.

I was one of the unlucky ones that got my PP AF when Hunter was 6 weeks old and I was EBF at that time.

Good luck with the contract!
I just stopped BFing 2 weeks ago and had been supplementing with formula and giving solids 3x/day and still have not seen AF. I am REALLY hoping she visits any day now...

Praying you get our of yoru contract!!!
I stopped EP around 5-6 months and already had AF for several months. I was not happy! But I know a ton of other people that are still BF at 1 year and still haven't had a visit from AF. Here's to hoping she comes back quick! Funny how times change huh?

thanks girls i talk to them next week, am kinda nervous about it...but so excited...
crazy that getting af is so variable...
i would be pregnant now if i could be...wouldnt ya know, i'm the one that wont get it for a long time...
did you guys have a lot of pp bleeding?
i had a lot less than i thought i would...heavish righ after, but nothing like af...then like spotting after 2-3 days PP...and just kinda like that for a few weeks...and nothing since...
also, i've gotten ewcm twice since giving birth (have it now) but tried an opk and it was negative...do you think that is my body trying to gear up to o but not being able to yet??

again, i know i'm not ebf'ing but I've had similar to you....I had a quick pp recovery (3w and a few days). I just started getting globs of ewcm about 4 days ago then started spotting 2 days ago. don't know what is going on yet though but i'm almost positive it is af wanting to start up.

No AF yet - she's almost 6.5 months - started solids on her 6 month bday (1x a day) - she nurses throughout the day and 2x during the night still.

No PP AF here yet either and Billy is 7.5 months. He gets solids twice a day and has been for about 1.5 months now.
Glad you might be able to stay home! I know for us if we break contract we lose some pay and they revoke your teaching license but people do it here a lot when they are moving. Good luck!

My kids eat 3 meals and at least a snack every day. They still BF a lot though, especially in the morning. I'm 11 month PP and no AF yet If I had a singleton I would be itching for AF to come back to try again. With two, I'm very happy AF is still gone.

I just had my first PP AF starting on July 8 - my DD is now 7 months old. I started cereal and some fruits around 4 months but she only recently began getting two solid meals per day (lunch and dinner, 1 to 2 tubs of Gerber per meal, depending on how hungry she is). She started sleeping 6-8 hours per night without waking around 5 months, and even when we moved from FL to AZ last month (when she wasn't getting any solids), now she's sleeping about 8-10 hours in a row per night and I guess that caused AF to finally show up this month. Ugh. I was hoping she'd stay away a few more months.
