I'm just curious...do people think I'm crazy or brave (I'm not sure myself some days)

The reason why I'm asking is I'm taking my baby girl on a plane next Wednesday, one day short of 6 wks, by myself...so I want to know...am I crazy, or brave...or neither.

I should say that the reason why I'm going it so I can be in BC for my Neice's 1st birthday, and so my brother, SIL and neice can meet Rayanne!!

Thanks for answering my poll.

honestly, 6 weeks would be easier than 6 months!! She'll probably sleep alot! How long is the flight?

I agree with Lyz. If it wasn't for the fact that i've sworn off flying on planes I would probably be doing the same thing with visiting my family in either IL or NY.

I chose the third choice. Everyone is different...my friend moved to Japan after her lo was born. As soon as she was cleared to travel, they took off.

I would definitley agree with Lyz, it's MUCH easier to travel with them when they are this little versus when they are mobile and want to explore EVERYTHING! Now having to carry everything by yourself may be the tricky part! GL girl!!!

i agree with everyone! so much easier to travel when they are young and sleep all the time....It was brutal for me flying by myself for 8 hours with a 16 month old!

I definitely agree it's easier now than it will be when we fly to Florida in February when she is 8 months!! At least DH will be with me then.

You'll be fine. She might fuss during take off/landing but otherwise she'll probably sleep.

depends on the baby
i couldnt leave the house at some points in the newborn stage cause he was so cranky - and LOUD, but now, he is fine and we do a lot...

Other babies are much easier on the mommy...LOL!!

I hope that it goes well!!!

PS= You will visit me in FLorida in February - right

I put I don't know, because I'll be flying when Josie is 6-7 weeks too! We have to, it's for my husband's brother's wedding. Good luck to both of us!

We took Billy when he was about 2 months old to Florida (about 2 1/2 hour plane ride). He was very colic but did great. I did have DH w/ me but if you have a travel system or baby carrier you can def. do it!!

I agree with others in that it gets harder as they get older. We are so glad we aren't flying for our summer vacation, he would be much worse on the plane now because heis so busy!
