I went to see a high risk doctor today, and unfortunately one of the babies, indeed, didn't make it. I am very saddened.. even though I knew from last week's scan that this would be the likely outcome, I didn't realize how much silly hope I still had for that little baby bean.
The good news is, the other one was waving its hand at us! Then it started kicking it's legs and kinda danced around. Oh, it looked so happy and energetic, and I couldn't believe all the detail for a 9.5 week u/s!! I laughed and cried right on the table. Then I went to use the restroom, and just started bawling in there.
I'm so elated about our strong baby bean, but so upset about the other one. I have this desire that I need to do something to remember her (I know it was a her, she was giving me such BAD m/s, and now it's gone...) Any ideas what I can do to remember the brief but such happy time she brought us?
P.S. here's the healthy bean:

First of all - great news on the healthy bean! Fantastic to see such movement detail this early on
I am sorry as well about your lost twin. I would definitely do something to remember her by. I, myself, have not done anything for my lost 4 babies but they will each get a set of small foot prints up the back of the nursery door. Nothing flashy - just for me to know they are with me and are a huge part of this baby's life.

I am so sorry to hear this Bliss. Glad to hear your healthy baby bean is doing great!!
When i lost my angel baby last year a friend had sent me a bear and I kept this bear as an angel bear for my next baby. Now baby tyler is gonna have a special bear in remembrance of his sister that is going to be in the nursery. Just an idea.

I am happy to hear about the healthy baby but so sad about your loss. I love Kate's idea of a stuffed animal to give to your baby after it's born. You can remember your sweet girl but talking about her with baby after he/she is born.

I'm sorry about your baby girl I'm so sad for you.
I'm so glad the other one is doing good though.
Perhaps you could get a memorial necklace, I've seen them online and they are very pretty.

Thank you all for your sweet words.
Well, I already have a necklace with Malakai's name on it, maybe I'll add another charm to it, good idea...
As for telling our baby about it's angel brother and sister... I would love to.. but DH is TOTALLY against it! We talked about it when we lost Malakai, and he was super against it, saying he wouldn't want to traumatize a small baby by a scary story like that. He said, after they grow up, maybe then we can tell, but not through their childhood. IDK, does he have a point?..

I'm sorry to hear about the twin but am glad everything is okay with your other bean. It's a really nice ultrasound picture. When we lost Eli last year we went to a place where you can paint ceramics and painted an angel for him. You could always do something like that if they have it around your area.

I'm glad you have one healthy baby! I don't think I would tell the surviving baby about the lost siblings, at least not until he/she is much older. Little kids don't really understand death, and death before being born seems like a terribly scary idea. Just my thought.

Can you make a locket of her photo with Malakai's photo and carry it with you? That would be a good way to remember her, since that is the only picture of her you have.

I'm so sorry that you lost one of the twins. Just this Feb, I finally got a tattoo for my angel (I had put it off and off and off).
If getting inked isn't your thing, I like the idea of adding a charm to Malakai's necklace.

I'm sorry about your angel baby It is always such a sad thing. The other ladies had some good ideas of remembering her. I agree about waiting to tell your child until they are much older but that's just my opinion. I'm glad your other baby is doing so great!!

I'm so very sorry for your loss. On a happy note, I'm positively thrilled your other little bean is doing so well! I love that he/she was waving at you and dancing, how cute!

I'm so happy for such a healthy bean. But sorry for your loss. She is with Malakai now, they have each other...
I'm not sure what way you can remember her but I think another charm on your necklace is a good idea as you will have them both close together.
I know you are afraid to have the cerclage put in at 12 weeks but honey lean on us and remember you will be fine. Just look at that healthy bean you have...
PM me anytime you know I'm always here for you and will always be your ttc buddy.
