It will be awhile until we try for baby #2. We want to wait at least a couple years and spend some quality time with Cam first.

Anyone planning on TTC soon?

Sorry, it's probably just my raging pg hormones but people can still spend quality time with their first while having another one at the same time.

But we probably won't be TTC after this one. Two might be it for us.

We plan to start TTC when Caleb is 1 year to 18 months depends on where we are when the time comes. We're not worried about our ability to spend quality time with Caleb because we have a second. DH and I both have siblings close in age and we loved it growing up!

i go to the doc on the 9th to start seeing if i can have any more, if i can id like to start at the latest by January. We want them close together and dh wants to be done before he's 40 (he's 32). In an ideal world ide have 2-3 more (maybe 4 more) so to make that happen i need to get movin, lol. Plus, ide like to try for a fall baby so it would be good timing to start around Jan

We are probably never going to prevent again (I guess unless we have 3 kids after some miracle). In our situation, because getting pregnant was such a long shot and miracle for us without any MA, if we are blessed enough to give this little one a sibling, we are never going to try and dictate when.

It will be at least 2 more years for us (hopefully)....we also want to focus on just Jules for awhile. Secondly, I cannot afford two right now. Dh's salary and my salary are great for single people but not for families. Our salaries combined are more than enough to support a family...and allows us to pay more than double the mortgage each month (which has been our goal to pay off our house in 7 years or less rather than the 15 we financed it for) and flexibility in spending/savings.

Plus, I've used up all but 40 hours of my time....I need to build up more. Now if I were able to be a sahm, I would probably think about having another sooner.

we are planning to TTC after Bella's second birthday. I just did a big career change and I'm trying to get that all worked out before we are ready for #2. Daycare is expensive!! It'll cost us close to $1800 for 2. whew, that's our mortgage!

As soon as AF cooperates!! LOL, if Kaiden stops eating so much, I'd be trying this minute If I dont get AF by the 1 year mark, then I'll go to the OB to try to get her to help me speed it along...

We are doing well financially, and I'm taking off for probably about the next 5 years...I'd love to have both of them in preschool before I go back...

Also, growing up as an only child, it was so so lonely, and I dont want Kaiden to experience that. DH has a brother who is 13 months older than him, and they have a GREAT relationship...I can't wait to start trying again...

Since our first is not here yet we have not talked about it. But from my perspective I would like them close together (around 2 years). I have 3 sisters and we are all around that same separation and I loved it growing up. DH is about 5 years younger than his sister and their relationship is just not the same (could have a lot to do with sister-sister relationship vs brother-sister relationship too). My guess right now will be when our first one is around 12 - 18 months.

We won't ever TTC again. Too much stress and no results without MA. We are happy with the one that's on his way. If by some miracle I get pg after that's fine too.

I'm sorry if i offended anyone by the way i worded my reason for wanting to wait. I definitely don't think having kids close in age means you wouldn't get quality time with them. What i meant is that at such a young age it's just my preference to put all my focus on Camden, rather than having 2 babies at the same time. It's not the only reason we're deciding to wait. There are also financial reasons and we'd like to be in a bigger house. Also having 2 babies would seem like way too much for me to handle right now. lol. Cam is hard enough work right now for me. Everyone is different though. My sister and i are only 15 months apart and i loved growing up close in age so i do see the benefits for sure.

We have been NTNP from the beginning since I had to take meds just to ovulate. I would love an oopsie so I could bypass the sress of ttc. We will actively start trying once she's a year old. My OB said I wouldn't have to wait long for meds once we start trying again which is nice.

I would love to start trying now because I LOVE having a newborn (besides the sleepless nights! ), but its just not feasable for us right now. DH is unemployed and I need to build up my leave. Next time I would love to take 3 months off, by using my STD and sickleave/vacation time (this time I used both at the same time to earn extra cash while I was out). Plus, I don't know if I could really handle two LOs so close in age....I think I would die of exhaustion!
I think we have casually mentioned waiting until Lilyan is 18 months to 2 years old before we try again, we iideally want her out of diapers before the new baby would arrive.

I am only 15 months older than my sister and the new baby will be 15 months younger than Hunter!! i am actually really excited that they will be close in age. I am also starting to freak out a little bit because DH just took a job in australia, so he is going to be home one month gone the next month trying to take care of a newborn and a toddler seems a little daunting at the moment, but I know that I can do it!! Plus my mom is probably going to come and stay with me when Dh is gone for the first few times, so that I don't lose my sanity (she had three kids under the age of three, so I know she will be a big help)

Lauren - I had that feeling that i was taking away from Hunter when I found out I was pregnant, I cried to my mom, but she reminded me that we still have another 8 months of just us

After this baby is born, if DH will let me have another one then we will probably wait until s/he is a year old to start NTNP!! But we will see how DH feels after this baby is born!

DH and I will probably start trying again when mini-keg is 2 1/2 -3 years old. We really can't afford to have 2 kiddos in daycare for too long.

We probably won't be trying for #3 for a while. (it's been a bit rough for me this pregnancy with my morning sickness, bad hip joint pain and awful BHs....and chasing around a toddler. BFing a toddler while prego is very very painful....so for sure will be waiting until #2 is weaned) DH says he wants to wait 5 years....but I think his mind will change in 2-3, at least I hope, but if not that's ok...at least he's open to another and not saying we're done! I want 1-2 more (hoping for #3 to be a girl and then I'd feel complete )

It's ok Krista...I'm sure Lauren's hormones are taking over her. I know she didn't mean any harm. And I definitely get what you are saying about quality time!

Well, I didn't think I'd be ready for quite a while, but I was actually ready before DH. However...I'm getting the Mirena removed THIS THURSDAY!!!!! Then we will be actively TTC#2!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm pretty excited. I'm going to be in a wedding August 2011 so I'm a little concerned with how that will all work out, but I'm excited to start trying!

Oh and after #2 that will be it! DH will be getting snipped soon after #2!!!

We're NTNP (have been since Savannah was about 2 months) - but I don't have AF back and we can't get pregnant w/o IVF - so yeah...

We're planning our next IVF for sometime later next year.
