Well, I did it...I sent in my resignation today.
We did the math, and it is definitely possible for me to be a stay at home mom for the next few years, and spend my time with Kaiden (and hopefully a brother and/or sister also  ). So, that's what I'm going to do...
I feel like I just jumped off a cliff, cause I love my job and it was steady and stable...but, I love Kaiden more, and I'm really nervous but excited about this new adventure in my life...
whew.........

That is fantastic! We get a year of mat leave and I have no idea how I will go back after the year is up. It's awesome that you can stay home for the next few years!

no - thank goodness (maybe b/c it wasnt in the middle of the school year??)...
i was able to get re certified for another 5 years (my teaching certificate expires in 2011)/...so, i'm good through 2016...
and my insurance is good till sept 30...
i talked directly to my vice principal, and asked about that... he said that it wouldnt effect me being rehired in the future...
