What have you used that has helped w/ limiting stretch marks? I've been trying to use bio-oil 2x a day for the last week. Could cocoa butter work better? Anyone have experience w/ these, or other similar products? Thanks!

I've heard GREAT things about Mederma actually - its used to minimize the appearance of scars, my GF used it on the scars on her arm from a bad burn and you can hardly see it anymore. They say it works great on stretch marks, too!

I already had stretch marks, now I just have more so I'm going to try Mederma myself after pregnancy. It is one of those things you use afterwards to remove them though, I think.

Good luck! I hope you don't get any, but they pop up in the strangest ways... Not even kidding, baby kicked me really hard and I got one. And my skin is pretty elastic, it was just the way she kicked... Who knows! LOL

I figure I can't avoid them completely - but I'm trying to at least lessen the number! Thanks!

Everyone says there is really no way to prevent them. I was one who felt like i at least had to TRY I used organic palmers cocoa butter everyday a couple times a day and only got a couple very small stretch marks on my hip. Who knows the reason why but i will be doing the same with my next pregnancy.

I used cocoa butter every day and got stretch marks toward the end of my pregnancy anyway... but I did only get them under my bellybutton, and got fewer than I really expected.

I used both the whole time and still got stretch marks those last few weeks. There's pretty much no preventing it. But I must say the bio-oil works wonderful for keeping them light! I actually got purple stretch marks and started using the bio oil and it took the purple right out almost immediately. Now the ones on my belly are colorless....its just the texture that you can even tell they're there. Oddly enough I got stretchmarks on one leg....yes just one! I didn't realize they were stretchmarks and those are still purple (haven't been using the oil consistently enough) so I can really tell the difference it made looking at those compared to the ones on my belly.
