Okay, so I'm nesting like crazy and (of course) still having pre-labour on and off, about 70% effaced and a fingertip dilated. BUT my cervix is posterior, baby hasn't dropped, and I'm totally getting impatient! LOL
I know, I know, I'm only 38 weeks tomorrow - there is still lots of time, and baby will come when she is ready. But MAN, waiting just SUCKS!
I want to meet my little baby girl! I'm *ready* to meet her. The house is ready, hubby is ready, the midwife is on call, the family is waiting... And if I get asked one more time if I've popped the kid yet, I'm gonna start knocking heads together! LOL
Sorry, just needed to vent... I know she just isn't ready yet, and that is why she isn't here - but does the waiting part have to be so freaking hard? Its like every moment of every day is just spent passing time until she arrives, and I'm running out of things to clean! Bathroom cupboards, fridge, linen closet, nursery, bedroom, office closet, playroom, check, check, and check!
Ahh I'm going to go organize my night stand, maybe that will kill an hour... LOL
And as I type this post, here comes another BH contraction that keeps me from moving. ARG. LOL

Hi, was lurking and saw your post. Just wondering, how long have you been having the pre/false labor? I just had my baby in April and had the same things starting aroung 34-35 weeks and then unexpectedly went into labor at 38 weeks 1 day. Who knows, she may come early too. I know the waiting is so hard though. Hang in there. She'll be here before you know it.

That gives me hope! LOL I've been having pre/false labour for... At least 2-3 weeks, even longer if you just count the strong BH contractions I've been having. So that is since at least 34-35 weeks, probably earlier. Full blown 21-hours of false labour over the weekend, every 20 minutes apart and didn't go away overnight either. Sure would have been nice if that had been it! LOL

Hang in there! I know how hard the wait is. You're talking to a girl whose baby came one week late! She will come... it could be today and it could be a few weeks from now but it will happen. Unfortunately it's impossible to really know when it'll happen (despite most signs), because everyone is different. I hope it is soon!!

Thanks girls! I kind of have no choice but to hang in there LOL - just passing the time relaxing, meditating, going for walks with hubby, nesting (yes, still - I folded laundry, scrubbed the floors, organized my night stand, and made bread... LOL), getting hubby to give me a massage, and playing around with an accupressure point that is supposed to help baby turn anterior and drop (she is slightly posterior, which is why she hasn't dropped yet.) Of course, I'm not playing with the accupressure points that stimulate labour - I'll save those for if I go overdue! LOL

Take lots of bubble baths! That's what I missed the most once baby came....taking a long leisurely bubble bath with no interruptions! LOL! She will stop torturing you and come soon enough....hopefully sooner than later! And I must say, I was so happy I had deep cleaned every inch of my house before she came, because lord knows I haven't been able to do it since!

I remember being at work (I am a receptionist for a division with 200-300 people) and people kept asking me 'You're still here...'. On my DD I cried because it just got to me and my hormones were ALL over the place. I ended up having that Friday my last day because I couldn't take people's comments anymore. So I totally understand where you are coming from.
You thought the 2WW was bad....the waiting for baby to come is even worse. But once it happens, you will forget about the wait and all your previous worries...because the moment you 'meet' your LO it will make EVERYTHING so perfect.

SOO CLOSE Cheryl!!!!! It helped me to look at a Calendar, determine what day I would be 41 weeks pregnant, then I told myself that I would FOR SURE be holding my LO on that date! (Sure enough he was born right on the 41st week)

It definitely helped me to look at a calendar and know the end date no matter what.
One thing I wish I would have done more of in my waiting is cook and freeze more meals. I had us set for almost 2 weeks but I was wishing I did more because I spent so much time bf, just a thought

Carla - I can't take a bubble bath, our bathroom is currently under renovation (the landlords FINALLY got to replacing the tub surround *now* - yes of course it would be now, when I could go into labour at any time and need a bath or shower... LOL)
It should be all done by Sunday, but I can't have one because it is just bare studs around the tub and the 220v outlet for the stove is fully exposed RIGHT beside the edge of the tub LOL - can you say bad idea?
So I'm just relaxing around the house and trying to find more things to clean... Today I might scrub the BBQ, and maybe organize the pantry. That might take all of an hour... LOL

Hope she comes soon! I know those last couple weeks are the hardest. I feel so bad for the girls who go late!
