LOL Okay, I think I'm going to give these a try Sunday night because it would be REALLY neat if baby were born Monday - 1 year, 1 month, and 1 day after Darren and I were married! But a friend (one of many who keeps asking if baby is born yet LOL) sent me a link to this recipe and told me to make it *now* - I'm going to wait, but it might be worth a try!

Paula, maybe you should give these a try soon, too! LOL

I hope they work for you! I know towards the end I was willing to try anything! I don't know if this had anything to do with it or not since I was already having contractions, but I read spices like basil could help put you into labor. Well on the day I was finally admitted into the hospital we had Carrabbas for lunch (funny enough, we also had Carrabbas the night we conceived! ) and they have the spices with oil that you dip your bread in. I ate a TON of that and was admitted later that night! Of course I was also in the hospital the night before that with contractions, but weren't regular enough for them to keep me. So it may have just been coinsidence, but maybe it helped! Guess I'll never know!

I sent the recipe to my neighbor - she's due in 2 weeks and about to lose her mind!

I'll bookmark this for later, but will be writing down it for a friend who is due this week since she's ready. Thank you for sharing this!

Kate - I totally missed that post! WT*, where is it?!?

And I know the cookies don't sound very good, I'm not a big fan of ginger cookies but I'm willing to give them a try! Mostly just to humour my friend who sent me the recipe, but you never know! I may pass along the recipe to my midwife as well, so she can give it to her clients - especially the overdue ones!

38 weeks today, going to bake those on Sunday afternoon and see what happens... Because Monday would be exactly 1 year, 1 month, and 1 day since we were married, 11 days before her due date, 1 month before daddy's birthday, in 2010, and of course she was conceived in the 11th month. Her lucky number would *have* to be 1!

Cheryl, the day before I went into labour I made some macaroons... I ate a LOT of them the day I went into labour! Not sure if they helped but I like to think so...

Here's the recipe!

Easy Chocolate Macaroons

2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup margarine
1/2 cup milk
1 tsp vanilla

Combine in a saucepan and bring to a foamy boil. Remove from heat and
add:

3 cups Quaker Oats (the large not quick ones)
5 tbsp cocoa
1 cup shredded coconut (from pkg, not fresh)-I always use unsweetened

Drop by spoonful on greased pan or waxed paper. Let set 1/2 hr. Can
be
frozen.
