I will post a proper birth story later, as I am typing this on my iPad and it takes too long haha
Avery Mae arrived at 9:08 a.m. On July 28th. She had fluid in her lungs, a condition called TTNB, so she went to the NICU. The fluid is causing her breathing to be way too fast - a healthy baby breathes 30-60 times a minute, but Avery was in the 80s. She is still in the NICU but doing SO much better.
I even got to start breast feeding last night - before, they were worried it would overwhelm her to try to nurse and breathe. She is so awesome at nursing!
She is SO beautiful and I can't wait to share pics of her when we get home. I've been discharged but DH and I are boarding at the hospital until she comes home (as long as there is room - so I hope other people stop having babies haha!)
Keep her in your thoughts and prayers please! I know there are babies out there who are way worse off than Avery and we are so thankful that it isn't worse and that she is progressing so well!!
