Priceline (O/T)

Has anyone used price line where you name your own price? Dh and i are wanting to take a trip to CO sometime int he fall and were looking up prices with the "name your own price option"... i put in 10 dollars each just to see what would happen and it said we could get dh and i there for 100 bucks total! It seems like the only drawback is that you dont actually know what time you're leaving so you can end up waiting at the airport all day (which of course would suck... but...) but other then that it seems too good to be true! Is that really a legit price?

Wow...great price if it all goes smoothly but I've never tried them and I'd be wary. Is there a number where you could call them and ask questions?

Well i mean, priceline is a huge national company so i assume if there were issues with this it would be widely well known? Idk though thats why i'm asking!

I never buy through a third party....I guess I'm just afraid that they will mess things up and unwilling to take the risk.

But depending on where you are going that could be a legit price....I know southwest has some pretty cheap flights. I've flown from Houston to Corpus for $44 once for work. Airlines are hurting these days and are overbooking to increase revenue.

oh well i use companies like expedia all the time and had never had a problem... just not priceline

I live in CO! Where are you visiting? Yeah I've booked several trips through Priceline. The drawback is that once you bid & put your CC info in, you're stuck. (Unless they reject your bid) It's tricky to book flight/hotel combos because you have NO idea what you're getting until after you book.

I've always used expedia but I would guess it to be legit.

We'll be going to Denver to visit Dh's best friend... i think we can stay there so hopefully we wouldnt have the hotel issue.
