Thighs!!! Seriously, what gives? I am about 7 pounds higher than my normal weight. (pre pregnancy I was on a super burn routine and had lost 13 lbs and one pants size, so I'm 20 lbs from that weight). But I can't even fit into my larger pants! I had expected problems in the hip/belly area, but the thigh problem is both shocking and unacceptable! Did anyone else's weight go somewhere unexpected?

I hear you Lee Ann! Obviously I'm still in maternity pants, but the shirt situation is lousy. Since I'm tall anyway and maternity pants are cut below the belly, I wear either maternity or larger shirts. I can't even show off my awesome boobs because of my belly pooch. :-/ boo.

Now that's funny!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, I had the same prob at first too. Remember ladies, it took 9 months to put on the weight and your body has completley changed. If you work at it YOU CAN GET IT BACK!!!! Not sure if you ladies rmember, but I went to a personal trainer 8 weeks after having Paige and worked my tail off. So about 5 months after having Paige I was SMALLER yes, SMALLER than I was before!!! So it is possible. Diet and cardio are the biggest parts of it. PM me if you anyone has any questions!

Good luck and keep working at it!!!!

Oh yes, time is super hard to come by especially in the early stages!! I know that trainers are super expensive so don't feel bad about that. You just have to seriously make the time and make it a priority! It's super hard especially with a newborn, but it's definitely doable. The diet is a HUGE part of it. Think about it this way...you can workout for an hour a day but what you do the other 23 hours in the day is what really matters!

I'm here for you ladies. I would love to help in any way possible!!

I am doing WW for nursing moms (which was successful for me in the past and so far working great!). I also walk 30 minutes a day mon-fri, do 10 minutes of weights and core workouts 3xs a week, and try to get a good jog in once a week (once it cools down I plan to walk/jog in the evening with lilyan in the jogging stroller). So far, I see improvements...I just wish I could mustard up more time and energy during the work week.

Good for you Candace! I think WW has got to be one of the best out there. Because you eat real food and it teaches you portion sizes which is huge. If you stick to their guidelines of fruits/veggies/whole grains it's great. When I did WW before I would stick to my points, even if the points were a piece of pizza...so that's not good!

Weight loss/body fat loss is all about calories in vs calories out. I strongly recommend a food journal to track calories and get moving!!! That's my two cents anyway.

Dh said he'd pay for a personal trainer for me, but I've gotten back to jogging and rejoined at Krav Maga - the owner told me to give it 3 months. So I'm hoping to be back in all my regular clothes by October.

And I do remember your before and awesome after pics.

I had to go out and buy some bigger jeans because my 4 pairs of maternity pants (the ones that go under belly, the secret fit belly from motherhood fall down now because I don't have a belly to hold them up) are getting pretty old looking. I think I sort of expected my body to look normal once I got in range of my normal weight, but there was some definite spreading and probably some of my muscle atrophied into fat, so I'll just have to give it time. I found my gym time this week, I was trying to go when Jeff got home from work, but Josie would scream and cry when I left and we were going through way too much of my freezer stash. I started going after putting her down for bed and she didn't even wake up either day I went. The problem is sacrificing sleep to go. But something has to be sacrificed I guess, and I would rather it be me than her
