Connor went back for his GI specialist follow up today. The doc is also a pediatric liver specialist too. We were originally sent there for FTT and severe reflux, plus at the time he was having elevated liver enzymes too.
He's gained so much weight so the doctor was super happy. He's 18 lbs 5 oz now and 27 inches! So a little over the 50th % for weight. The doc said he's not considered failure to thrive anymore YAY!!!
But, the doctor was super concerned that his liver enzymes were still very elevated on his last draw. Even though he's gaining weight the liver is not getting better very fast. So, he sent us for another blood draw and if they're still elevated we will have to do an extensive work up to see why. So, T+P's that they will finally be normal. I'm a little scared about what else it could be.
He also upped his meds again since he's gained weight. Based on the severity of his reflux he said we probably won't start weaning the meds until he's 18 months.
After I left the office I went down the hall to get the blood drawn. What a HORRIBLE experience! The lab tech stuck him twice only to end up not getting enough blood for even one test

. It was like she had no idea what she was doing. Then she said "oh, do you want to just come back another time? Next week the regular girl in here will be back and she has alot more experience than me." Ummmm, why didn't you tell me this before you stuck him twice? I could have taken him to another lab if I would have known she didn't know what she was doing.
To top it off, there was another lady in the waiting room who kept getting impatient because there was a long line. She was supposed to be right after Connor. Well, on the first stick Connor didn't cry at all. But by the second stick he was crying some. I'm mean, who can blame him? He's only 6 months and getting poked with needles. And he wasn't even crying that loud. Well, this rude lady proceeds to yell into the room "How much longer is this gonna take? I don't want to have to listen to this!" I was fumming

Can't you show some compassion? I could have gone and smacked that lady if I wouldn't have been holding Connor. Please tell me I'm not overreacting?
So, I guess we'll be repeating this on Monday.
Oh, and I'll be MIA this weekend since we're visiting the in-laws. Don't you girls get into too much trouble around here.
