But here goes. We now have baby furniture. But not without a little bit more vechicle drama. Apparently while the gas tank was off the truck for so long, mice/rats or birds built a nest inside the tube that gas flows through to get into the tank. So dad had to fix that before he could leave the house to pick up the furniutre, because the truck wouldn't take gas properly. So finally 30 mins after they were supposed to be there, they are leaving the house. It takes the better part of an hour to get to where Dh and I were already waiting for them. Finally they make it over there and Dh and dad are pouring some gas into the truck to make sure he doesn't run out on the way to my house, and I walk around to the front of the truck with mom. And there is antifreeze pouring out of the radiator again!!!! My only response at this point is S*** S*** S***, and mom was like what and proceeded to just look at me and go well S***!!! So up goes the hood, Dh takes a look around sees no hole in the radiator(which was our fear), and says it might just be a lose hose. Gets down and checks the hose at the botton of the radiator, problem found. Jack up truck, tighten clamp, let truck down, load up, and head for home. All the while its like 99 and the heat index is like 110, so we are just climbing in and out of mom's(soon to be mine) running car to cool off. Dh and I had already been sitting in the heat for about 2 hours at this point.
Nesting has kicked in, at least I'm pretty sure it has. I have been content for my house to have a well lived in look, now it has to be clean and straight, but still looks lived in(ie there are blankets laying around, a few dishes in the sink, things waiting to be put away.) Also since I haven't had but a very small shower and know that I've probably got another coming up maybe 2 more, I don't want to start washing baby clothes, because I don't really have enough to have a load yet. Also I don't have the tubs/drawers to put on the shelves inside the armourie. So I'm trying to find things to do, without starting on that! My mom and I are planning to work on the bedding this weekend hopefully we will get it finished!!
Dh has a couple of small projects to do around the house. Finish putting together the crib. We were missing 2 little dowel pieces yesterday or it would be finished. Dad and I went to Wal-mart and got that. Now we have to get it finished and situated. He also needs to re-caulk our bathtub(master) after taking out what is in there. And we need to find shelves to put in the laundry room. We are probably not going to get the nursery painted, but will probably get our bathroom and laundry room done. Dh is also busy working on his car trying to get it ready for him to go back to school on Monday! He also needs to fix his recliner.
With students starting back to school this week, mom now is "working" Fridays. So I have to take my daddy to his chemo treatments and whatnot. No biggie to me, its time I get to spend with my dad. Pretty soon we will probably start shopping for a car/truck. Mom thinks she will probably get herself a new truck and pass me down her car. Though I would really like to have a completely "new" car. Still doesn't matter to me, I'm still happy driving the one I have now!! Though car installs would be much easier with something newer.
I actually made it to Wal-Mart the other day and set up a registry there. Going to Target sometime soon to set-up one there. Decided that I would put the travel system and pack-n-play on there as well as some small things. Sometimes people want to go in with someone on a "big" gift, so I thought why not? I won't be disappointed if I don't get them. I already have plans to get the travel system and pack-n-play. I'm also going to put some small things on the Target one.
I decided the other day that I was ready for October. Because I'm ready to hold munchkin and love on her, but I don't want her here Now. I will wait paitently for time to go by. Though I wish I had a Fast Forward button, lol.
Ok if you made it this far I'm glad. It kind of turned into a book! Have a great day/night, whichever it maybe where you are when you read this!
