I'm sure that some of you remeber when I went to the ER back in April. Well I didn't have my medicaid card yet then, just the papers saying I was on temporary medicaid. They said ohhh that's fine just bring us by the number when you get it. So I took my card by like 4-5 days later when I got it in. I recieved a bill that came addressed as Christophe Bagley. DH's name and my maiden name. It was dated about the time I took the card by, so I just assumed that since I hadn't heard back that it had already been mailed when I went by with the card. Uhh wrong...I have only recieved the one bill until this afternoon. I got a call from a collection agency. Now tell my what kind of hospital doesn't have their doctor's on their own payroll. It was for an outside agency of physicians, and while the hospital had recieved my information they didn't turn it over to the doctor's office. So at this point I am done with that hospital!!! Seriously that is not understandable....to not even employ your own doctors, and then to not turn the information over to that office!!!!

the hospitals here bill separately from the doctors office...alot of doctors are not employed there but have privileges to practice medicine in their hospital. there was an ob that had his privileges revoked at one of the hopitals here because his vision was against the sisters.
