Just before bed last night I thought I felt some discharge. I even started to freak out in case I might be bleeding. But I also told myself that it was all in my head and to relax. Unfortunately I was bleeding. We left for the hospital at 10pm.
The Progeny hadn't been moving too much yesterday and naturally I was starting to freak out. The only thing that was reassuring was that I wasn't cramping. But I was still freaking out, but I was strangely calm too, the only thing that would give me away was my hands were really shaking.
We got to L&D and they were packed. But the nurses found me a bed and got me on a monitor right away. At first she had trouble finding the HB but then she did. It was strong and steady and he was moving around a ton. She even said that for 25 weeks he was a superstar. By now the bleeding was slowing down.
What worried the Drs is that we couldn't be sure if I have placenta previa since my 18 week u/s was inconclusive. Unfortunately they wouldn't be able to have a full diagnostic u/s done until the morning. They were very hesitant to even check my cervix. The Dr. finally decided to have a quick look at my cervix just to make sure it was okay. It looked fine and they decided to send me home for the rest of the night and have me come back in the morning for the u/s.
The Dr. thinks that all of the coughing that I have been doing probably burst a blood vessel. So she gave me a new prescription to help with that.
I'm waiting to hear back from the hospital about what time to go in for the u/s. I spoke to the nurse just before 8am and they didn't know yet, but she promised to call me asap.
I think it's safe to say that I won't be very active for the rest of the weekend.

I just saw your FB status and came here hoping for info! I'm glad that so far everything looks ok and I really hope it was just from the coughing and nothing else!
You sit down and do absolutely NOTHING this weekend, you hear me Kim?!?!

Could you come down and help me pack up my closet? I'll need at least 3 more bins for clothes and a box or two for shoes and purses.

Like the girls I saw on facebook and came on here (from my break away lol ) to check up on you.
Now "Sit down, Feet up, & Do nothing" I wish I was near you b/c I would be there in a heart beat packing your clothes and making sure you don't move a bit...

pregnancy scares are so nerve wracking, aren't they?! I'm glad everything seemed okay last night and i hope it's just because you've been coughing up a lung

I forgot to mention that the nurse called me back around 9. The Drs conferred and agree that as long as I'm not bleeding and that the baby is not in distress they will wait until Tuesday for my u/s. So I'm supposed to take it easy and go back if the bleeding starts again.
It's only been a day and I'm already really bored! But, by not doing anything, my coughing hasn't been as bad.
