My doctor just called to let me know that my levels are low and she wants me to start taking 1000 units of Vitamin D per day. Has anyone else had this? Should I be worried?

I wouldn't be worried at all. Unless you're out in the sun or eat lots of fish it's hard to get enough Vitamin D. Thankfully, it's easy to supplement.

I also had this issue and just took a Vit D/Calcuim vitamin when I take my prenatal. I still take them now since I'm BF. My OB said its actually pretty common!

I agree. Just take the supplement and you'll be fine; no worries!

Last March, I was diagnosed with vitamin b12 and vitamin d deficiency. My levels were REALLLLY low to the point where I had to receive once a week b12 injection for a month then once a month injection (still do) plus b12 500 mg pills daily and 2,000 IU of vit d daily.
My dr said continue taking the vitamins along with prenatals. She didn't seem too concerned.

following up from my new doctor yesterday.. she wanted me to stop taking vit d because its not water solutable pills.. and it builds fat instead of flushing out. she recommended me take calcium 500 mg.
