I asked for my blood work to be faxed to me because I wanted to have my 5th beta draw for my appointment this week. Basically my doctor was making sure my Progesterone was going up. I then read my HCG and this is what it was.
At 8w1d it was 52,000
At 11w1d it was 19,261 - this past Saturday
I think the hardest part is seeing the heartbeat only 1.5 weeks ago and everything was perfect.
I am trying to be optimistic but can't

Oh sweetie - I hope that everything is okay. Have you spoken to your doctor about it? I'm keeping everything crossed!

Oh no hon - I hope it's not what you think! I have read somewhere that hcg levels peak at weeks 8-11 and then start to decline and level off.. but I'm not sure how low they go. I'm really praying there's a good explanation..

Okay, relax. Did they say something is wrong? HCG peaks at about 8-10 weeks, and then starts going back down. This is normal. Please talk to your doctor before freaking out. Please KUP, sweetie.

I've always heard about it peaking and then leveling off so hopefully that's all it's doing. I agree with the other girls. I would think your doctor would have talked to you about it if something was wrong. I'm praying everything is okay.

My old doctors office sucked. they never called me for anything and i had to be my own advocate. I hope you all are right about it going up then down. I just used the Doppler and I think I got a heartbeat. Spoke with my current doctor they said only an ultrasound will tell. I have one scheduled for Wednesday but I'm trying to move it up to tomorrow though. Will let you know. Thanks for all the kinds words

What HCG levels are normal before they start to decline?
According to HCG charts, at about eight weeks, levels above 10,000mIU/ML are considered within normal range and may start to decline. A number of 'normal', healthy pregnancies are at the low end of the HCG spectrum.Typical HCG Levels

No no no...the HCG does go down...because the placenta takes over...thats OK!!
seriously...DO NOT read too much into this...very few people have an HCG draw at the place you are, do NOT be too concerned...
I do not try to build anyone up if I think its over, and I really think you are ok, why in the world did you get an HCG draw this late, nand what did your DR say?

I have heard the same thing about your numbers going down...at a certain point the placenta takes over. I would defiantly talk to your doctor about it.
Please KUP.
