Haylea thinks it is HILAROUS to bite and pinch when she wants attention. It is funny actually but sometimes it hurts too! I say No and put her down and then she throws a tantrum and pouts. I thought tantrums didn't start until 2! At her birthday party she tried to bite any kid that got near her presents...and succeeded on one little girl who left with a nice bruise and teeth marks on her arm. Lovely...my child is a bully! Anyone else have this problem?

My dude bites me when he is tired. But he does something to get attention that I think is even worse - he hits himself! He knows it drives me crazy. He looks like he has issues and it embarrasses me. He hits his face and then stares at me like "what you gonna do about it?" I try not to react b/c that makes it worse and so far he has only smacked his face like 3 times this week. But I have no advice for the pinching and biting other then holding them an inch from your face and screaming "STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT STOP IT!!!!" Maybe try that!

A&E just started biting each other. A also likes to put her forhead against mine, look me right in the eye and then bite my nose. I haven't been able to stop either of those things yet. THe nose biting is funny since she doesn't do it hard, but that doesn't mean she won't.

I think I would scare the crap out of her if I held her up and screamed at her like that! But then again maybe that is what it would take.

Val, I couldn't imagine 2 biters! Do they do it to be mean or are they playing when they bite each other?

That is funny Val.

I find that K bites when she is overtired. That is usually when she gets miserable and she only bites when she is miserable... so I put her to bed.

I find she hits when she wants attention. I had to turn away a few weeks ago because she purposely rammed her hed into the stove (not hard)... started crying and looked at me. When I didn't pay any attention to her she tried it again. LOL After she settled down a little bit it when I picked her up and offered her comfort.

Awww...I have seen Haylea get mad when I lay her in her bed and purposely scoot over and bang her head agains the back of the crib. Sometimes when she is throwing a fit and I put her down on the floor she lays down like she is playing dead and pouts for a few minutes. It is actually pretty hard not to laugh at her...but of course after a min I pick her up and cuddle her.

I actually have never had a huge issue with Tori biting so I can't tell you what to do about that April.

I guess my biggest problem with Tori right now is that she DOES NOT listen at all. Oh and trust me, she knows what I am saying, but runs the other direction laughing, especially if she has something in her hand that she KNOWS she is not supposed to have.
