Baby L is measuring 4011g (8 lbs 13.5 oz) at 36 weeks... that is above the 97 percentile or 40 weeks. That means Baby L has gained 3 lbs in 4 weeks. Dr. T said a C-Section is not a guarantee at this point but I have a higher risk of one. He said if baby is measuring over 5000g (11lbs) then we will be scheduling a section. We go back for another ultrasound in 2 weeks.

Basically if I want any chance of having this baby WITHOUT having a c-section I need to do find a way to do it in the next 2 weeks or so before baby hits the magic 11lbs mark. Since I am not full term for another week I am not even going to start with any sort of " natural induction" methods so chances are really slim I will end up with anything but a c-section. Dr.T also said there is no evidence that inducing early will reduce the chance of a c-section so there is really no reason to induce early. He also said that ultrasound can be wrong... but we both laughed at the thought of that since I have been measuring BIG since about 24 weeks.

Here is the kicker... somehow my weight dropped by over 2 lbs... that is a 5 lbs swing in my weight considering Baby gained 3 and yet I am still down 2... interesting how Baby is gaining so fast and yet I am losing weight. My weight gain over all is still good at 27 lbs total so no one was at all worried about it.

Wow! Baby L is getting big. Hopefully you won't need a c-section. My SIL delivered my niece vaginally and she was 11 lbs 13oz! So it can be done.
