Going to Peri tomorrow**update post 13

My Doctor has decided to send me to the perinatologist tomorrow morning so he can get a better look and we'll get what i assume will be a level II u/s at that point. He should know better what might be going on, so fingers crossed we get an answer. Whether he has to come out or stays, i'm not worried at this point, i just want him safe!! My appt is at 10! I'm just glad we'll be getting a better look from a high risk dr.

I'm sorry you are having to go through this, but glad your doctor is taking it seriously. You will probably have a level2 u/s, as that is what I get when i go to my peri. Will you meet with your OB right afterwards to talk about the results? Like you said you will likely have an answer of what is going on and what is the best way to bring Tyler safe into the world. You'll be in my thoughts tomorrow, keep us posted after your appointment!

Christine, my next appt with my Dr. is Monday, so I assume if we don't get it figured out at the peri's office today we'll discuss our next move then.

I can hope he's here soon. We'll see, the Dr called my Dr to chat as I was leaving so no idea when he is suggesting delivery but he told me he'd talk to her and I see her again on Monday so I guess i'll find out then!

He said he can't see any problems causing him to be small and that he may just be normal small. So still no one can tell me WHY he hasn't grown much in 4-5 weeks. They did not send that particular piece of info over to him so when I told him he was like OH, okay. So again I will ask my Dr more on Monday now that she has seen all of the ultrasounds. He did say it seems like cord flow was fine and we did another NST (which Tyler had to nap before again, luckily B was there to wake him up!). But for now we're in the clear for the weekend and we'll see what my dr says on Monday. He weighed in at ~5#5oz today (so still LBW), which means he may have grown and it may have been just normal variance from the last u/s on Monday. The measurements looked pretty much the same to me, head might have been slightly larger. He did say we may repeat this process again next week?? So we will see, but i'm getting anxious to meet my boy! I'm going to go ahead and try and get as much done this weekend as I can. We have 12 days til induction day anyway, so the date is coming near regardless of if they decide he needs to come early (or he decides he needs to come early!!

Sounds like a good update and good that he didn't see any problems. It seems like if he was really concerned he would have told you then and wouldn't make you wait to talk to your doctor. Or your doctor would have called you afterwards. Looks like Tyler may just be on the smaller size and that is okay. But he can still grow these next few days till induction date! Remember when they tell you the weight it is still only a guess. Tyler could be up to a pound heavier than what they say. Maybe you should celebrate Canadian Thanksgiving this weekend and eat a big turkey dinner!

my issue isn't so much that the weight, an estimate is an estimate. But the fact remains that his head and tummy both measure 4-5 weeks behind...but he's healthy as far as we can tell!

Oh goodness, I can't imagine how you are feeling right now...not having answers yet. Just wanted to let you know that I'm saying prayers for baby T that all is well and he bakes as long as necessary!

Glad he is ok!! I am still guessing 6 pounds 10 oz. for his birth weight! I wouldnt worry too much about it...all of my sisters and I were in the 5-6 pound range...none of us over 6 pounds and we were all perfectly healthy! We also all measured small too...turns out we were just tiny babies! Although me and my youngest sister are both above average height wise now! lol
