Okay, I have tons of ideas, I have been thinking about this forEVER for our LO so I will share my ideas...I basically look at infant photographers and get my inspiration! Plus, I just got a new camera so I am going to attempt to do them myself!! Here we go:
1. knit hats and naked-adorable b/c the knit gives the picture texture and goes with "winter/christmas" anyway. I find clothes look funny on newborns cause they are still so small and do not really have necks. So, everything looks huge on them, especially when you are positioning them differently. That's my opinion. I bought a super cute knit hat that has a long tail with a bobby on the end. It is red and white stripes. You can do baby in black and white and hats in color. I read somewhere that black and white is good for babies b/c it makes any blemishes fade out.
2. Close ups up feet, ears, hands...all very cute, especially when you add your hands or DH hands, or both of your hands because it gives the perspective of size. I like making a heart shape around the bottom of the the babies feet. Black and white.
3. DH holding Tyler in his hands. Black and white.
4. Getting a black blanket or cloth and drape it around Tyler to make it look like he is floating. Because it's black all around, he will stand out.
5. Putting Tyler in a basket. Just prop him up with a bunch of blankets inside the basket so he is laying on top. Makes sure to pay attention to details like his fingers and stuff. When he is sleeping you should be able to do pretty much whatever you wanted.
I could go on and on...but I'll stop myself now!!! Do you want to take the pictures or are you going to hire someone? Either way, I would encourage you to just look through a professionals website to get ideas of what YOU like. I tend to go for artsy looking photos vs. traditional looking.
