Tyler's birth day pictures and a little story

Here's a few pics from tyler's birthday...i never thought i'd be too busy/tired to post pictures of my baby, but here are a few. More to come of course!!

Tyler James was born on October 19, 2010 at 8:37am. He weighed 5#14oz and was 19" long. He is so beautiful, I had an overall great labor (minus a couple of hours where i was tempted to jump out of a window). Natural labor is obviously not for my body. Words can't even express how much i love this baby. He is only 4 days old but he is just amazing and watching my husband become a father has been equally amazing. I just can't even describe it. We've been getting like NO sleep! haha, but tyler is a good baby. Its just getting adjusted and we've had a lot of people visiting and its just been kinda crazy. Now he has jaundice so we've got a bili bed at home and we're having to feed him a lot and keep him wrapped up in the lights, and hope he gets better this weekend.

As for me, i'm great. I handled labor really well and while my body is sore from day to day stuff, my acutal recovery has been even better than i thought it could be. I gained 22 lbs total and have lots 12 of that already, i'd love to lose 20 more ideally...but all in good time! My stomach is hilarious right now b/c of course my uterus is still shrinking and i look about like i did at 20 weeks (which wasn't big)...so really most people probably would never guess i just had a baby this week. I'll take my first PP picture this week. I am not allowed to do much for the first 6 weeks, just walk some. With the weather getting cooler we'll see. Right now i feel like everyday life is a workout!!

glad it went well. mine was a piece of cake for the most part. he is adorable....he looks like you...imo.

thanks for sharing....Tyler is adorable!! each week gets easier. The third week is "the exhaustion week" where most people have a meltdown from the lack of sleep BUT, then it really does get better. You get used to not sleeping as much and start to get back to being yourself!

Lyz, thanks for the advice!! I know its gonna come. I was so mad at B last night b/c he basically just gave up. I'm like HI...all i need you to do is move his bili bed into the bedroom, i've been up while you've been napping, feeding this crying baby and trying to pump some too. Tyler is a terror at diaper change time...HELP ME! I know you're tired but i'm tired too and i have no choice but to feed our baby!!!! UGh, between the sleep deprivation and the hormones i'm bound to explode on him eventually. Normally he's super helpful though, so i'm trying to remind myself of what a super daddy he is!

He is super cute!! You look super cute too Mommy!!
It does get easier and your body gets used to it. Some days I'm STILL super exhausted but then I look at my little man and melt all over again!
