I plan on going to the bookstore this weekend with my MIL. Can you ladies recommend any good pregnancy books I should get to read?

The only book I read was the Pregnancy Week to Week book. I did get quite a few from others and flipped through some but didn't read them cover to cover.

I do suggest you stay away from books that tell the bad things of pregnancy - everything bad that can happen because I think it raises a persons anxiety.

I've been reading What to Expect When You're Expecting, and Great Expectations. DH is reading The Expectant Father. I'm about to order a breastfeeding book, and What to Expect the First Year. Oh, also, there's a book called Baby Bargains dedicated to all the stuff you'll need with ratings and buying guides, I highly recommend that one when you're getting ready to register!

I agree on the "Pregnancy Week to Week" and "The Girlfriend's Guide to Pregnancy". Both are great!

The pregnancy books are helpful, but the 'What to Expect the 1st Year' was a lifesaver! I still thumb through it when Lilah has a rash or fever.
