Infant Car Seat Winter Demo | Facebook

Hey all, just thought i would share this album that shows the proper way to strap an infant in their seat for the winter. This album also demonstrates why "bundle me's" arent safe which i know a lot of people dont realize! No puffy coats in carseats, fleece only!

The owner of the album said to share with anyone you want also!

Thanks Sam - definitely interesting to see the proof that there are some "wrong" options for winter wear and the car seat.

Great info! I am a little bit psycho about my kids in their carseats. I drove a friend's car this weekend and was appauled at how loose her carseat was. I mentioned it to her and she said that a fireman had installed it for her. It had way more than 1" of wiggle in every direction. He told her that the movement doesn't matter as long as it's at the right angle. I told her it wouldn't stay at the correct angle in an accident with that type of movement.

I wonder if that fireman was certified. My husband is a police officer but doesn't know the first thing about putting in a child safety seat. Just sayin....

Thanks for sharing Sam. It doesn't get cold here that often though.

So true LeeAnn...I'm a cop too and am NOT certified. I know that when we took ours to the Fire Department we had to make an appointment with the guy who was certified and did all the inspections.

I'm a bit of a fanatic about car seat safety too. When I pick Paige up from my MIL's she will put her in the seat and latch it...I feel bad, but I always have to tighten it up after she is finished because it wasn't tight enough. I'd rather hurt her feelings and have Paige be safe though!
