So I will be 17 weeks on Friday, and I was also told at my 12 week appointment that my placenta was anterior, so I know this is REALLY early for me to be feeling anything. But, the past couple days I have felt these little gas bubbly type ripples below my belly button on my left side. Just wondering when you ladies first felt some movement, and what did it feel like? Thanks in advance!

I had an Anterior placenta as well and i felt him move like once at 15 weeks, once at 16 and then not again until 18. I didn't feel him FOR SURE until probably 20 weeks. But everyone's different, and depending on exactly where baby is and where your placenta is you can still feel movement definitely.

I knew for sure it was Rayanne just after 20 weeks...I did feel her a couple of times before that, and was pretty sure, but couldn't be 100% sure till I started feeling her all the time.

I started feeling little bubbles just before 17 weeks... It got more obvious around 19 weeks... now he's a pretty active little guy!

I started feeling bubble-like movements around 15-16 weeks and more movements around 17 weeks.

I had an anterior placenta with both of my pregnancies that made it to the 2nd trimester.
With both pregnancies, I began to feel movement in week 15, and with Evan, by week 18, it was totally obvious every time he flinched!

I don't remember. I know I felt my first big movement at 17w. I was feeling bubbly movements for a few weeks before that. I also had an anterior placenta.

I felt my first bubble-like movement at 16.5 weeks. Two weeks later I was feeling him pretty often. Now he moves all the time!

I was more like 22 weeks and it was a kick. I might have felt some before but I couldn't distinguish it.

Wow, thanks everyone! I was pretty sure it was the baby... DH was touching the belly and poked a little too hard, and I felt it, so we tried that a few more times and every time he poked I felt the little flutters. I just wasn't sure if it was possible to feel it this early but apparently it is! I'm so excited, I was so worried my anterior placenta would make it difficult to feel.

I felt bubbles around 16 wks (give or take a week) and I felt her rolling at 20 wks. I didn't feel much movement throughout my pregnancy though but she kicked up a storm the night before my water broke.

My experience is similar to many of you! I first felt slight bubbles/heartbeat-like twitching at 16 weeks, but it only reappeared every 3-5 days or so. At around 20 weeks I started feeling stronger twitching, and by week 22 you could already feel AND see my belly rock and roll from the outside. Now I'm 23 weeks and his kicks are very strong! (I'm loving it.) Good luck, you'll be enjoying it very very soon!

I have an anterior placenta as well. I never felt any "bubbles". Around 19 or 20 weeks I definitely felt a "poke".
