totally michelle. And i know its SO early to even know how he's gonna be but i can't stop thinking about having another one?!! Its probably just me being crazy, which is probably why you don't O for a little while post baby...you need time to work the crazies out!! Hopefully i won't get AF for a while, although the PP bleeding can cease anytime!

Too funny! When Cam was that little i was thinking i would want to wait AT LEAST 3 years. The beginning was rough though Does that mean things are going good for you? But yeah, i wonder a lot about when we'll have another one but i'm guessing we won't TTC for about another year at least. We'll see

Its hard b/c i want them to be close together but not too close. He is SUCH a good baby though and i loved being pregnant so much. I wonder if i could talk him into have 2 relatively close together, then waiting and having a couple more?? hahaaha its a nice thought...he'd probably say yes to the first two and no way to the second two!!
I was just totally shocked by his response. I fully expected him to say a few years...

That's how i feel. I want them close but not TOO close. And i want 3 because 4 seems like too much for me but i don't think i could handle all 3 being close in age and i don't want the third too spaced out from the others either. See my dilemma? Can you tell i've thought about it?

I think you are nuts!!! JK of course. Like Krista though, the beginning was super rough for us.
On a side note, I had the Mirena. Have you had it before?

Oh boy!! haha Our pre baby talk so far we have decided that we will not use any forms of birth control PP. However, this is all pre-baby talk! But it did take us 3 years to conceive this LO so we will see!
I can totally see you with 3 or 4 kiddos all close in age though Kate!

We have been NTNP since the beginning. I figure I'm BFing and have no signs of AF anytime soon plus I needed clomid just to ovulate, so I'm pretty sure there will be no oopsies here. If there are we would be thrilled though! I'm ready for another one now. There are so many prego women in my life and it just gives me major baby fever!!

We are NTNP too Casey, but like you needed Fermara, and metformin to even get preggers so I'm not worried, and I haven't had a PP AF. I am ready for another, but our house is not...I hope to start trying for number 2 when Rayanne is a year to a year and a half old. (like get the meds and go for it) I can't wait to try for number two, and recently have really started to miss being preggers.
I'm glad things are going well for you Kate!! Enjoy every little thing, and how little he is, before you know it they are growing so fast!!

I think that's the post baby "not preggo anymore" emotions talking
I'm ready to be pregnant again but not financially ready.....2 kids in daycare is $1600/month (that's with a 2 year old and an infant...and a discount for having both in). Soooo....we are waiting until Bella is 2 before we are ready to TTC.

Lyz, you are exactly right. Some people hate being pregnant, i loved it and i miss it a lot! Also i the financial aspect would be the only thing holding us back. Our agreement is once i find a job making good money and B finds a job he doesn't hate (lol) then we can have another one. In the mean time we'll save up some money and then give Tyler a sibling. And like you Krista, 4 kinda scares me and have agreed on three, but if we spaced it out like that maybe i could get away with 4. It took me about 18 months total to get Tyler, 12 months before my m/c and then 6 months after. However it took my grandma 2 years to get pregnant with my aunt and she went on to have 6 kids in 10 years. My mom had 3 kids in 5 years...so apparently we pop out babies in my family. I'd like to TTC in no more than 2 years b/c who knows how long it will take me to get pregnant again.
Gwen I haven't had one. Around here they won't give it to you until you've had one child. What did you think? Everyone I know that has had one has told me they loved it, except one.
As for PP AF, she can hold off and that would be awesome. I'm EBF right now so we'll see how long i can keep it up and if she decides to stay away!!

Well, I have mixed emotions about the Mirena. The first few months and yes, I mean MONTHS you will have spotting...it sucks, you never know when you will need a liner or not, but after those horrible months, your period will all but go away. I never had any PMS symptoms or anything so that was awesome. I had it taken out the end of July and I think my body is JUST now regulating. The first few periods after Mirena are VERY VERY heavy so be prepared for that, now I think it's more normal. They won't do Mirena until you have one kid here either...not sure why though. Other than the non-stop spotting in the beginning, I did like it. They say that after you get it removed you can start TTC right away...we are on to cycle 4 so we will see!

My SIL had hers taken out at the beginning of the year. She had a "period" after she had it taken out. Then had a BAD one the following month and got pregnant their second month trying. She did get pregnant with my niece first try though. She LOVED it and is really thinking about getting it again after this baby again even though she won't really "need" it for birth control purposes.
My friend who didn't like it said the same thing about the spotting. I guess i could learn to deal with the spotting...i am a fan of not having a period at all once that finally goes away. I just don't trust myself to take a pill, will NOT do the depo shot, so i guess i should consider the nuva ring as well, but i would much rather just not have to mess with it at all!
If only i could trust myself to just chart to avoid!

See after charting to get pg, i figured i could just chart to not get pg after we have the baby. I thought since i liked charting it wouldn't be a big deal. However, i'm thinking temping and charting might not be such fun if you aren't doing it to get pregnant. Luckily that's a little ways off, so i'll cross that bridge when i get to it.

Ok, coming from the one with no kids and not pregnant yet...LOL...I don't blame you for wanting to have more right away! We want a big family so we'll wait long enough for my body to heal and have a small break but will get right back to TTC after the baby comes. (Time is NOT on my side, I'll be 35 in March.)
Now, I quoted the above because I just wanted to say that for most women that I know that had trouble getting pregnant the first time, this ended up NOT being the case after the birth of their first. It's like getting pregnant and giving birth jump started their bodies (all those extra hormones!) and seriously, probably 9 out of every 10 women I know who had problems with infertility got pregnant au naturale within a few months after having their first.

I agree with the PP that most women get pregnant very easy/quickly after their first baby.
Th reason why dr's won't typically do the Merena before you've had a child is because it's easier and more comfortable to insert it since your cervix has already been stretched. My friend had one put in before she's had a baby (Erin, etph007 did too) and my friend said it was SO uncomfortable during the procedure and the months after.
I always said I would get the Merena after the next baby because we only want 2 and I don't want to make any permanent decisions until after years have past and I know for sure.

It is so funny, b/c more people have told me that...and i believe its probably true. Seems to be the case around here fairly often. I hope that's the case, and even though i'd love for them to be close in age, there is such a thing as too close i think
