Who do you buy for (besides your LO?) Do you have what you want to get them picked already? Have you already started shopping?

All we buy for (besides my step daughter and mikey) is my mom, my sister (and her husband) and dh's mom and step dad so we have it pretty easy i think...

I'm pretty sure i'm going to make my mom a windchime, and maybe a bracelet of some sort also depending on cost.

My sister and her husband are getting a platter or bowl or some type of serving piece bec/ they just got married and registered for a TON of serving type pieces... they have a lot of parties... from the paint your own pottery place we have near here. I think we'll have step daughter paint most of it then put the kids hand prints or something.

Dh's mom and step dad i have no idea - they are impossible and dont really "do" anything so its hard... maybe something cheesey like framed pics of the kids... lame, but it'll make his mom cry

OMG we buy for waaaaaaaaay too many people. DH has a huge family, and it really adds up. His side: mom, dad, 2 siblings, godfather, godmother, 2 goddaughters, 2 extended family members (yankee swap style), 2 kid extended family members, 2 grandmothers. My side: mom, dad, 3 sets of grandparents, 2 siblings, 3 nieces/nephews.

I started shopping before the baby arrived. I'd say I'm about halfway done. Nothing is wrapped yet though.

we buy for all of my family (parents brother and sister) and draw names with both sides of his family. we are buying for his parents, sil & step sister, uncle & moms boyfriend. His moms birthday is in dec so we usually buy for her anyway. Plus our niece & new nephew, a chinese gift exchange and who knows what else!

We buy for my grandparents, my parents, my brother, SIL and their 2 kids. And for DH's parents, and his niece & nephew. I have a couple of ideas but I haven't started to shop yet. I really should get on that!

It seems like we buy for a ton of people....and I always get stuck doing it. But we have: my mom and dad, dh's mom and stepdad, dh's dad and stepmom, dh's brother and sil, my brother his wife and children x 3, my other brother, another brother of mine and his girlfriend, my sister her husband (combined) and child x 1.

So 19 people, ugh!

We buy for my parents and sisters and their husbands. And we do 1 gift each for our exchange with our extended family and buy for the kids. So 10 people on my side.

Then we buy for the gift exchange and kids on DHs side, plus his parents, his stepmom, and all his sisters. So 12 people on his side.

So 22 people plus each other and Connor of couse.

I totally done on DHs side and about halfway done on mine

We just have my niece and we will have a nephew soon, but in B's step mom's family there are a lot of kids. We usually do a chinese gift exchange among the adults but buy a little something for all of the kids. We haven't participated in the past b/c we didn't have kids but now i'm sure they'll buy stuff for Tyler so i'll feel compelled to buy stuff for them. I'm gonna have to keep it small though and i don't know any of the kids that well so that's gonna be a crap shoot. Kinda wish we could skip that part all together.

I suggested drawing names last year or the year before and my mom got all bent out of shape. She thinks we need to buy everyone a gift. It gets expensive!

We buy for way too many people too...it will prolly stop next Christmas since Mason will be here.
We buy for:
Eachother
My parents
DHs parents
my 2 sisters
His 2 sisters and soon to be BIL
5 grandparents on his side
4 grandparents on my side
And my 2 dogs and kitty! haha

So all together we buy for about 20 people and my animals....right now we have 0 nieces and nephews. My sisters are still in high school and DHs sisters are a senior in high school and sophomore in college (And her fiance is a sohphomore in college also) so no kids for any of them right now. We will prolly keep buying for them all until they graduate from college or are married...then we will draw names. The exchange will be between DHs parents us his sisters and their significant others. And then we will do another drawing the same way on my side...once they start having kids we will buy for all our nieces and nephews though!

Its just crazy!! haha So far out of 20+ gifts to buy...I have 1 bought! lol

My mom suggested drawing names on our side of the family, but there are just 7 of us now (including tyler) so its silly for us for now. Once my brother and sister get married/have kids, then we'll probably do that. For b's family its a lot easier to draw names...his mom's side we draw for everyone...grandparents, siblings, aunts, uncles and cousins. On dad's side its just the kids and spouses but its still easier to buy for 2 people than 7. I'd like to just buy for the kids but b/c B's step sister and BIL don't have kids yet (they've been TTC for a LONG time) I guess its not fair to stop buying yet. I think at some point Christmas really has to be about the kids anyway.

We buy for a lot too. We buy for my parents, my brother, DH's parents, his grandma, my SIL's three kids, and we each draw a name among DH's siblings. Now this year we will have to buy double presents on my side so that Marina can give them something. Whew! Shopping will be rough this year!
