We may FINALLY have a name!!!

So we're 75% decided on a name

But we're not telling people IRL in case we change our minds... so don't mention this on facebook please!

Ok, so as of now, we're going with Ella Jane. Jane is my mom's middle name and it goes good with all the names we like. I really LOVED Ella as a nickname but i didn't like any of the first names that went with it. Isabella isn't my favorite, Gabriella is nice but i don't want to risk Gabby as a nickname especially since I have a friend with that name. So we decided, why not just go with Ella? It's doesn't have to be JUST a nickname.

So here's the funny part... we decided this yesterday at Kohls.

we were just looking through the xmas decorations and stuff and came across a ton letter ornaments (like E, or M or whatever). The E was just so dang cute! Then we found snow globes with names on them and I found the very last Ella, and dh couldn't find his first choice Haley... I was like lets just pick a name! And i worried that he was agreeing to Ella to get me in a good mood because i had been cranky that day but he said he's 75% sure Ella is the name. Even Haley (his first choice for the last month or 2) was only 50% and the other names we had on our list were down to 50% and 30%... (don't you love how everything is a percentage with us? lol). So we bought an E ornament and an E candle! The best part of this is that we can start calling her Ella in my tummy, but not to other people, so if we do decide to change it last minute or something, no one will even know! Except you guys of course! hehe Okay, well this turned out to be a novel. sorry about that!

awwwwwwwwwwwww thats cute!!! i like the name Ella!!! my SIL named her daughter Ellie!! and we call her Ellie belly!!! lol thats always nice when you can decide on something...

Very cute name!!

Just an FYI, be careful with calling her Ella, if you arent telling people IRL. We werent going to tell anyone Mason's name, but we had called him it around eachother. Well one day my sisters were here and he kicked really hard and I accidentally slipped and said his name. Since they heard we decided to tell everyone and so now no more surprise! haha OOPS!!!

I hated picking a name...we just couldn't agree!

I love the name Ella and it goes really well with Jane.

Love the name. This was a choice for myself and DH when we were deciding. And just so you know just because a name is a nickname doesn't mean you can't use it. For example we loved the name Effy which can be short for Elizabeth but at the time we said if we picked that name we would just pick Effy. At any rate we didn't pick the name and picked Kylie instead but hooray for the name! So cute!

As non traditional as I am, I love ELLA!! I struggled with wanting Ella, Elle, Ellie, Ava, Ada and all other variations of Ella. So, yeah, it's great! Nice to have a name! I second the advice to be careful if you plan on calling her that, you will probably slip up at some time. That is why we just decided to tell everyone early instead of waiting!
