My father-in-law told us the Chinese name he picked out for our baby's middle name. It is Wen, and it means "literature or culture." Ha ha...I think my FIL always wanted a writer in the family since he is a literature professor. I think it's cute. Now we just have to pick out his first name!!

No, DH and I just wanted him to have a Chinese name, and we don't know anything about picking a good one, so we left it up to his Dad. It's a good thing because we're having enough trouble picking one name!! I keep searching for the perfect one, but have not found it.

I think it is great that you are keeping the Chinese culture in the name.

I love it and I think when he grows up your son will think it is neat that his grandpa gave him his middle name.

I love it!

Mari has a Chinese name as well that my dad picked out and "Wen" is the second character in it. It's not part of her legal name, but still a sweet sentiment...though for now they affectionately call her "Mei-Mei" (little sister)

Awww. I always liked the sound of the word "mei-mei" and it sounds a little like Mari. That's so cute!
