Which did/do/will you use more?
Is it worth having both?

We have both. He doesn't seem to like the bouncer, but he might when he gets a little bigger and can actually play with the toys. Right now he just sits there and its not much fun!
He LOVES his swing. It can be a lifesaver when you need a nap or he is restless. Tyler naps in his swing a LOT!

Neither in the beginning...we had a travel swing, it was more upright and I don't think it was comfortable - seemed like her head would always end up slouching. We used it probably a half a dozen times. She hated the bouncy also until about 4 1/2 months.
We did end up buying one of the regular swings (Ingenuity) when she was just over 2 months because she had a mild ear infection and the doctor told me I should think about getting one. I think cause we got it late in the game, she will only sit in it if she is sleeping - like we have to put her in it while she is asleep - or we put her in there if we are folding clothes.
Overall, we've used the swing more - I'd definitely buy that in the beginning versus a bouncy. But all babies are different...Julie hated everything except the nap nanny up until about 4 1/2 months.

we had a bouncer but DD wasnt in it for long, she hates being restricted and likes to be able to do her own thing so as soon as she was able to roll, it rarely got used

Both! The bouncer was great for when I was cooking in the kitchen or taking a shower (we had two) and she slept in her swing until she was almost 5months old. It was a lifesaver.

Josie loves her bouncer, but we didn't get it until she was four months old. I imagine it wouldn't have been much fun before that. She liked the swing when she was smaller, but no so much now. I'd say both are worth having.

we have both and they were lifesavers!! She used her bouncy until she was 8 months old to relax in before bed (then I had to buy a toddler chair because she outgrew it but loves to hang out and relax in there).
Bella took some of her best naps in that swing.

Thanks ladies! We had a bouncer given to us at our shower, but I think I will go out and get a swing too then!

Here's my suggestion to you on swings, b/c we just learned this the hard way. There are new swings that swing side to side and back and forth. Go ahead and get one of those b/c ONE of those ways will make your baby happy. I have a very cute front to back (traditional) swing...yeah guess who likes to swing side to side?? So now we are getting ANOTHER swing to make this kid happy. Save yourself the time and money get one that goes both ways!
like this one:
Fisher-Price Cradle 'n Swing - Luv U Zoo - Fisher-Price - Babies "R" Us
ALSO, try and find one that plugs into the wall. Those things suck batteries!!

Ditto this! We have the ocean one (Fisher Price) and it plugs into the wall. I can't imagine how annoying and expensive batteries would be for that thing!!

Ditto to the plugging in to the wall...Rayanne liked her swing till she realized that she could do other things besides just lie there. LOL
If by bouncer you mean a vibrating chair?? She still uses this, mostly because it has the toys on it, so it is helpful if I have to do the laundry or what not. Her swing has been packed away...once she could go in the exersaucer and the jolly jumper, a swing was just not exciting enough for her. lol...she is a silly girl...but every baby is different, I know lots of babies that have loved the swing up until they are no longer allowed in it because they are too big.

TOTALLY different stages, IMHO. The swing, she practically lived in it when I couldn't be holding her (bathroom breaks, naps, cleaning, etc.) for the first month or two. Now she doesn't care for it as much, and she's in her jolly jumper or exersaucer most of the time - but she is 4 months old now. Jolly jumpers aren't even recommended until 3 months, exersaucers until 4.
I'd say get both. Seriously. You'll probably use the swing until they fit into the jumper anyway. And if they don't like either one, you can always sell it! People buy up used baby stuff like crazy!
Little tip - get a TRAVEL swing, not the giant one. Travel swing takes up 4 square feet, folds up small enough to carry (and even has a handle), and works like a charm. Giant swing takes up like 8 square feet, stands 4 feet tall, and WON'T COLLAPSE. I am so thankful we have a travel swing... We have this one : Amazon.com: Boppy Rock In Comfort Travel Swing: Baby
OH - and we have a jolly jumper AND exersaucer AND swing AND vibrating chair AND playmat AND walk-behind/ride-on toy. And we still run out of places for her to play sometimes! LOL

We TOTALLY used both, and I'm so glad we had them! The bouncer is nice because it's portable, but my son also LOVED his swing.
