We have been not agreeing on anything when it comes to names, and I was starting to get a little freaked out. We wanted something unique since both of our names are very unique, and he's going to have two middle names, one from each of our families. So, we found a name and we both love it... we have backups just in case he doesn't look like this when he is born BUT

Cavan Thomas Khan

Cavan is pronounced like Gavin. Its irish and means "handsome" . Thomas is from DH's side, its a great-great-grandmother's maiden name or something, but B was named for St. Thomas Becket so we're really naming him after his daddy. Khan is my maiden name... my dad has no boys so the name will die out and I wanted to keep it around in some way. Please don't mention on FB... we aren't making it public knowledge right now. I'm so excited to have a name! I don't know why it was bothering me so much, I was just worried we would never agree on anything!

Lyz, I know, the pronunciation will have to be explained. But I've lived my whole life having to correct people who call me Sarah, and its not the end of the world.

I love it too! I actually pronounced it correctly in my head before I read your Gavin description. I love unique names! It's always a conversation starter, even if it gets old...better than a common name like Jessica!!
