Yesterday I went to see the perinatalogist for my first cervix check. And so far my cervix is "exceptional"! The doctor was very funny in his enthusiasm, but it is nice to have one worry off my mind. He still wants me to come in every two weeks for checks, which is fine by me.
And although we didn't expect it, we had our anatomy scan
Babies are both doing really well and right on target for growth. I was so relieved. I totally held my breath until we saw the heartbeats. I asked her if she saw anything that would suggest a cause for my bleeding, but she said everything looked great. She also said we are having
TWO BOYS! Baby B I am sure is all boy. Baby A, I was less sure. He kept getting his hand in the way, but at the end she seemed pretty certain that he was a he. My poor mom is going to be so surprised. She has called them her granddaughters this whole time! I am keeping the news from everyone until Christmas when I will give them gifts from the babies that reveal the gender.
