Has anyone passed out while pregnant? I did Monday..it was my first day at my new position in a different hospital (i transferred from within my job)...anyways idk if it was nerves for the new job, my hypoglycemia, or the pregnancy itself, but i felt like i was gonna be sick so i hurried and ran to the bathroom while walking i felt funny like i do when im going to pass out (i have before due to nerves) so i put my back against the wall in the restroom and slid down/passed out..only for a few secs but i was drained..only picked myself off the floor because i had gotten sick and needed to spit...lol. I plan to tell my doc tues a my appointment, i just dont want him to pull me outta work :/ I can't afford it..

I've felt faint a few times during this pregnancy. In the 1st trimester it was mostly when I was feeling super-queasy and dry-heaving a bunch of times in a row without a break to breathe. In the second trimester I've gotten super-dizzy a few times from standing up too fast. But, I have never passed out in my life so I'm not a good example! If you've passed out from nerves before, it might have just been that. I don't think its a huge deal but I would mention it to your doctor to be on the safe side.

This is how my friend found out she was pregnant. As far as I know it's not dangerous unless you hurt yourself when falling. Her biggest thing was to be certain she didn't skip meals, that's what would cause her fainting spells.

I agree with the other ladies... it sounds like to me it was just your nerves... or it could be ALL of those things you listed combined!!! I would tell my doctor what you just told us minus the whole not telling him bit lmao

I know Casey passed out when she was pregnant, and I almost passed out when I was pregnant. I almost did but laid down and had DH bring me water.

I havent but a girl in my PR (who is pregnant again) is having these issues. Do you carry snacks with you ? Maybe your blood sugar is a little low?

Yes, I passed out when I was pregnant. I felt dizzy and tried to get to the bed to lay down but didn't make it. I ended up twisting my wrist trying to catch myself. It only happened once and I wasn't sure what the cause was. If you start to feel like you are going to pass out just stop where you are and rest; don't be stupid like me and try to get somewhere else. Hope you feel better!

Thanks everyone for the advice. I started bringing some snacks with me since monday and i'm doing much better. I think its because of switching from working nights to days now. I go to the doc tues so i'll update then

I *almost* passed out 3 times due to plummeting blood sugar (2 times in the shower! scary. once in the lab, 40 min after drinking the nasty glucose drink.) Doctor told me to carry something sweet with me, and lie down low as soon as I feel this way again. Yeah, it's the scariest feeling.. feeling you can't control your body and you're just gonna pass out.
