mastitis...on CHRISTMAS!!

I went to bed last night with some pain in my right boob. Thought it was just b/c i had waited too long to pump. Had trouble sleeping, woke up and it still hurt. NO redness or swelling.

Went to my parents for Christmas, still hurting and my body hurts like i have the flu. Then my mom notices my boob is starting to get red. Called my sister's friends dad, who is my mom's gyn. He said I needed to call my dr and she could get me meds, even on Christmas. Glad he did b/c in my state i hadn't even thought of that. Just was ready to go spend $150 in the ER. So I called my Dr who called in antibiotics. THankfully CVS is open and filling prescriptions today! What a day. Only I could be so luck!! lol

You won't believe it but I got it too!!! Really sucks! This is my 3rd bout with it too....yuck, but I haven't had it in a while. Hope you're feeling better now.

wow Karen that's crazy!! UGh i hope i never have to do that again. No thanks!! I am already feeling better. On day 3 of antibiotics...yippee!! I go see the NP on Wednesday so i'm sure she'll check me but the pain and redness are MUCH better and i'm pretty sure i caught it early, thankfully!

So glad you are feeling better! I'm shocked I haven't gotten it since I work 12 hour shifts and I never get to pump at work. Hope that's the last time you have to deal with that!
