Had some cramping in the morning i was worried because the night before Trevor (my dog) was laying on me and when he got off he pushed down on my stomach with his paw. It hurt but didn't last. So i woke up the next morning and had cramps for about 2 hrs on and off. I hadn't done anything and i was still laying in bed. Since it took us a year almost to get pregnant i thought it might be best just to go to the ER and get checked out. I hadn't had an u/s since i was 9wks either due to switching from my RE to my OB. So i was concered. Anyways I ended up having a bad UTI the blood work and urine sample showed. I'm not drinking enough :/ So they gave me meds. Also baby's heartbeat was 150 & they did an u/s. The tech said "he" twice & when i questioned her she said "i have three boys so everythings always a he to me", so i figured i'd ask her straight out "can you tell what it is yet"? All she said was "your doc will do a full antimony at 20wks".. I was alittle annoyed, but glad to hear everything was ok with the baby. I just didn't see why she couldn't at least give me a yes or no kinda answer..makes me think she did know, just didn't want to say/ Anyways I go to my Doc on the 18th so maybe he'll get the report by then and tell me something then

So sorry you had to go into the ER, but glad baby is doing fine. Hopefully the UTI will clear up soon. And hopefully you will find out the sex soon, I wonder if it is a boy and she just didn't want to say it.

I'm glad everything is okay. Our 50+ lb dog jumped on my belly when I was preggo. Dumb dogs.

I worked with kids the whole time i was preggo and got banged around a lot, but maybe it was a good thing since u ended up with the uti which can be really dangerous while preggo,

glad you got some meds. that sucks about the gender but I'm sure there are reasons why she wouldn't or couldn't. my docs office told me they wouldn't even check prior to 20 weeks...you are almost there. Glad the babes is doing well.
