Mackenzie is home!

My little girl is finally home with us after spending the first 17 days of her life in the hospital! It's been interesting that's for sure! It's a lot different than seeing her in the hospital... we now have sole responsibility of her! There is no more putting her in the crib and going back to our room until the next feeding

The nights have been tough. She needs to be woken up to eat every 4 hours unless she gets hungry before that. Well during the day we usually have to wake her up, but at night... she wakes up quite often wanting to eat. And since we're not breast feeding yet, it's a production because we have to go get the milk, warm the bottle and keep her occupied until the milk is warm. This is all going to be quite the adjustment! I'm just so happy to have her home!!

So glad she is home Jess!! I am still patiently waiting for Mason to come! Crazy to think we were due the same day!

Oh yes, I vaguely remember the warming of milk and screaming the head off days. Definitely gets better once they are older and can recognize that you are making the bottle. Glad you've got her home.
