Ugh...that is all I have to say. So I was hoping for some progress or something, but nope. I am exactly where I was last week at 2-3cm, 100%, and he is really low. I gained about a pound again, and babys heartrate was good, but thats about the only good news I got. So besides the no progress I am GBS positive, my bloodpressure went back up again, but after taking it 3 times came down JUST enough not to have to induce me today or tomorrow, my midwife refused to strip my membranes, and will let me go up to a week overdue now which is not what I wanted to hear since I apparently am having a HUGE baby. lol She guessed that if I had him today he would be 8-8.5 pounds. And that they grow about a pound a week at this point. With that being said if she lets be go a week overdue that would add about 3 pounds to this kid putting him at 11-11.5 pounds! OMG I CANNOT do that...and I know I would having a c.section then which I really dont want. So...I see the other midwife next appointment and am going to beg to schedule an earlier induction if she thinks he is about the same size!

Anyways, thanks for listening to my whining...I was just so mad that NOTHING went my way today! lol

Well if you're already at 2 - 3 cm there's a good chance that you won't go a week overdue! Maybe bake yourself some labour cookies and see if they help.

My Lamaze teacher says to dtd to get labor going. Hang in there. I don't think they will let him go to 11 lbs!!

if you are 2-3cm and 100% effaced, chances of you going overdue are low. I would try to do things to get labor started. Try the labor cookies like Kimberley said, or get on all fours and scrubbed floors, lots of walking and if you can DTD its worth a try!! hopefully your water will break sooner rather than later!

oh you poor girl!!! thats crazy how you can be 2-3 cm dialeted and 100 % effaced... I know I heard you could be that for weeks... but still you would think that with gravity it would make things go quicker?!?!? I know my SIL walked A TON and even took castor oil... she actually took it 3 times... once 2 weeks before her dd and another time the week she had my neice and the last time she took it the night of... I think it will only "work" if your really ready to go... good luck and I HOPE he comes sooner rather then later!!!

girl, 2-3cm already is GREAT! I was 1cm until the induced me 10 days past my DD. I know you are scared about his size, but he may come sooner rather than later. Hang in there, not much longer! {{{HUGS}}}

Thanks ladies!!! I am just terrified of him getting so big! Man I hope not...as far as trying to jump start labor...well yesterday I tried lots! haha
1. Walking...walking...and more walking...(about 4 miles prolly)
2. Marching up stairs...I went up and down our stairs 25 times.
3. Dancing
4. Hula Hooping on Wii Fit. haha
5. Squats...only did about 30 cause they suck when you are preggo! haha
6. Drank 5 cups of Red Raspberry Leaf Tea
7. DTD...and I had to beg my husband! haha Wow...I felt like a loser! haha

So these cookies....how do I make them? I am going to have to google them! haha

That was me...what got the ball rolling for me was
1. They did strip my membranes...3 days before her came out...
2. Mucous plug came out...20 hours before he came out...
3. I bounced on an exercise ball so much that my water sprung a leak and they had to induce me...

Hope he gets here soon, weird that theyd allow you to go so long with a baby that big!

Good news- I just read that after 38 weeks the baby doesn't get bigger as fast, and the weight can stay stable until delivery. So no 11 pounder for you!

I'm sorry you're appt wasn't what you were hoping.

That's still really great progress! I doubt you'll go overdue - just keep doing what you're doing and enjoy these last few days alone w/ your hubby. It's not going to be the same once you have a baby!

And if they guessed size by ultrasound - they can be off as much as 2lbs...

Thanks ladies!!! Still nothing...but I have 9 days until my due date so hopefully some time in there he will come!

And thanks for sharing about the size...she didnt guess by U/S but just by feel and how I was measuring before. But I am hoping he stays in the 8 pound range.

So sorry about the bad appointment. I was 1cm dilated up until the big day and I was a day earlier than my due date. I think what really helped me was taking evening primrose oil orally and vaginally. My second day doing that and I was in labor. You can also try pumping which causes uterine contractions. Good luck and hoping you have a very easy delivery and labor!
