Hey ladies
Just wanted to update you on Mason. We had his repeat hearing screening yesterday. He passed his right ear but still failed the left. They got a response to the high frequency sounds in the left but not the lower frequency sounds. It still doesn't mean much though. Just that we get to go see another doctor in mid march. The audiologist did tell us though that even if he has hearing loss in the left ear it shouldn't effect his development since he has one perfect ear. If there is hearing loss they won't do anything for it either. It's more just to know for now. Also there is a good chance that this is related to his jaundice also. Blah! So all in all not good news but not really bad news either! Thanks for all the thoughts and prayers keep them coming for the next test and his thyroid results we are still waiting on!

My DH lost hearing in one year from bad ear infections as a baby, he is just loud. I am glad you got some positive news!

Thanks ladies! And yep being able to hear high frequency sound in the left is a good sign. It means the hearing loss will be minimal if any and won't affect his development! Also his thyroid came back normal!
