Was your little one on a schedule? If so what was yours like? Mason is almost a month old and I really need to get him on a schedule but I don't really know where to start.

It was sooo hard for us to get Lilyan on a schedule. I honestly can't remember what we did. I think we would feed her, then put her to sleep, and then let her have some "play" time then do this cycle again. I think sometimes we would change it up so she wouldnt always associate sleeping with eating. It was a very blurry 3 months (actually 7 months, until she started sleeping well)!

I didn't know how to do it either. We didn't really start Darcy on one until a few weeks ago. At 9pm we do bath, bottle, book, and then bed. She normally falls asleep now about 11:30 and will sleep until 5am when DH has to get ready for work. After repeating it she finally got into the groove of it and has been doing okay on it so far. I'm hoping that as time goes on she sleep longer periods.

For the first month we didn’t really have a schedule because he slept most of the day. He’d wake up to eat then be awake for an hour or two tops then would fall back asleep. After about a month or so he would go in his crib for naps and bedtime then be with me downstairs all the other times, in his swing or I’d have him in my sling with me. Our normal routine though has been pretty much the same since I can remember, 7:00 tub followed by a bottle, then bedtime.

He’ll fall into a routine in no time. I can remember right around this time really wanting to get Brevan on a schedule too. Good luck, and KUP.

We just started a bedtime routine a couple of weeks ago (not a schedule since we still let him tell us when he's hungry). He is now sleeping much longer. Last week we started a morning routine and I'm now able to eat breakfast every day! Routines rock!

We don't have a schedule....we have gotten into a routine or I should say pattern - it varies of course depending on what we are doing and what she decides to do. Things just kind of fell into place that way without having to do anything. This is what our day typically looks like (she is at her Oma's and at a daycare 4 days out of the week):

between 6-7am wake up time
eat and play
between 9-10 nap time
eat play
anywhere from 2-5pm nap time
eat play
bath time
eat and play some more
and then she goes to bed usually when we go to bed

I don't care for a schedule - I just care that she is happy.

I let Kennedi guide herself into her own routine. BUt basically its 7-730 bath, then play a little more and read a book, nurse or bottle and go to sleep at 8-830. This gave us a little wiggle room in case we wanted to go out for dinner with her. I hope that you can get him to sleeping well.

Kylie is sort of on a schedule now. Thank goodness or I would be a bit of a crazy lady. She basically eats every 3-3.5 hours without fail and sleeps/poops the rest haha. The longest she is awake is one time in early afternoon where DH holds her and reads her a book. I hope to continue having her in a routine (of course it will be different) once she is older.

I love having Cam on a schedule! I was going crazy without one. It doesn't have to be a strict one and with a baby i feel you always have to be somewhat flexible. Some days are off but he does much better knowing what to expect next, especially when he was younger. We did EASY schedule which is where they eat, play, and then sleep and the process repeats at least a few times a day (when they're little). Camden does much better now that he's older and if his normal routine changes a bit it's not that big of a deal but it was such a huge help when he was younger. He was much more rested and when he cried it wasn't as much of a guessing game... if he just woke up i could guess that he was fussy because he was hungry, if he had been awake for awhile he got fussy when he was tired, etc. Oh and we do bathtime, massage, story, then bed every night.
