We had our first ultrasound today. I need to scan the pictures. Anyway, it went well, the baby is measuring 6w4d instead of the 6w5d I thought I was. We saw the flickering heartbeat and we got to hear it. I cried my face off. My dr. Really poked around in there he joked he was checking my tonsils, and it sure felt like it. I am really relieved everything went well. Now I'm onto worry about making it to my second tri. I have to make another appt for 2 weeks from now. I'm guessing for an exam, pap, etc. The doc said I could resume everything I did before, zumba, sex, and carrying my 2 year old niece. So everything's going great so far, I just need to get my cravings in check so I don't gain a ton of weight.
My doctor didn't worry about baby measuring until my 20 week appt when he confirmed my due date!! I'm so happy you got to hear the heartbeat, isn't it an amazing sound!! So sorry your doctor had to pry around..sometimes when they are that small yet it's hard to see... but i'm sure going through the pain to see and hear your little one made it all worth it!!
