Unfortunately, there was a problem when the posts were moved and the subforum deleted. The posts are gone. I am sorry that this happened. There is no way that we can retrieve them. However, Patty (pattyandthemoos) has been able to find most of them still in the Google cache. If you would like help finding your post in Google's cache so that you can copy your journal, please send Patty a PM about it.
Again, I am so sorry that this happened. We are taking steps to ensure that this does not happen again.

Not really upset for me as I had just started mine but I has followed friend from BFP to baby and I can't imagine how I'd feel if it was lost.
I think I might take a copy of my ttc journal just in case and restart a new grad one.
I know it wasn't done on purpose it's just such a shame.

Rachel-
Can you explain in general how to do this?
Also, I used to run a forum and we had to make backups at least once a week, have you been doing that with JM?? A tech person should be able to extract the Grads Journals from that without too much of a problem...losing a weeks worth is nothing compared to the forum being completely gone...
Can you explain how it happened that the busiest forum in the grad section was removed?
This is really sad for me not only cause I may have lost a lot of stuff I poured into the most important time of my life, but also because a lot of PG girls I was only following on the journals, and I doubt that many of them will take the time to email whoever and download whatever and upload this and copy/paste that and start their journals again...so I kinda feel like I'm losing out double in that respect...

I tried finding mine in google cache (just typed into google until I found it). BUT while google cache found me links to my journal the links didn't take me anywhere (except an error link). So I would also like to know what you mean by google cache and how I go about getting the actual info and not just a broken link.

Yeah could an admin just explain here how to retrieve it from the google cache?? I mean that would be a lot easier for everyone involved, right?

This is really too bad. I'm sorry that everyone has lost so much information. I was never very good at keeping up with mine. However I'm going to find my TTC journal now and save it somewhere.

Okay here is how you do it. If you need help though please just pm me. It helps if you know the url. Here is a cached page of the journals subforum. Find the url for your journal.
First page of the subforum
TTC #1 Graduate's Prego Journals - JustMommies Message Boards
Second page of the subforum.
TTC #1 Graduate's Prego Journals - Page 2 - JustMommies Message Boards
Third page of the subforum
TTC #1 Graduate's Prego Journals - Page 3 - JustMommies Message Boards
Last page of the subforum
TTC #1 Graduate's Prego Journals - Page 4 - JustMommies Message Boards
Then once you know the url for your journal go to google. Type in the search bar
cache:and then your url
so it would look like this.
Code:
cache:http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f806-ttc-1-graduate-s-prego-journals
You will have to do this for every page of your journal but you should be able to find a cached copy of your posts this way. I haven't been able to find every post this way but most are still in Google's index.
We sincerely apologize for this happening. I know that you all have a lot of special memories recorded in these journals. Rachel and I have spent a few days trying to figure out what happened and how to retrieve these posts. I am working with our tech team on a plan so that this does not happen again. I am very sorry. If you need any help at all please pm me.

I am still talking to our tech team about this. Yes, we have back ups. But, right now we are in the middle of moving data from the servers on eHarmony to the servers on Internet Brands. It makes everything a little more complicated. I am still trying to see if there is a way we can get the data that was lost. I don't want to promise something though that we won't be able to do. I am trying to, at the very least, get the data for you all.
I sincerely apologize. I know this is a hassle for all of you and I know that this subforum is important to you all.
This shouldn't have happened and I am talking to our tech team about this to make sure it doesn't happen again.
