Apologies in advance to anyone suffering from morning sickness.
This past week, I've started feeling hungrier. I'm eating the same amount as usual for now, just more spread out. BUT! I'm thinking about food all the time. I look at recipes, think about food, go to the store and look at food, etc.
Anyone have a good recipe, craving, or other food-related topic to share? I'm all ears (and stomach)!
In all seriousness, I feel like my morning sickness is easing up a bit, too! I was just thinking of finally trying to cook something for dinner!!
Here's what I want to make:
4 chicken thighs and 4 chicken drumsticks
1 red bell pepper
1 green bell pepper
2 tsp cumin
16 oz salsa
1 tbsp chili powder
2 tsp dried oregano
1/2 cup ketchup
Slice the onion and bell peppers into thin strips. Dump everything except the ketchup in a crock pot. Cook on low for 7-8hours. Add ketchup to thicken sauce as needed and cook sauce only on high for 15 minutes. Serve over a bed of rice.
I miss having a crock pot! I don't have one here! It would really come in handy on low-energy days, I bet! Get dinner prepped before the full evening exhaustion kicks in!
Lately I've been putting garlic on almost everything. But I'm also getting the occasional sweets craving! A couple days ago I made pancakes (with sprinkles & cocoa powder in the batter), and then layered a couple pancakes with a simple syrup glaze and cocoa powder in the middle, lots of glaze & sprinkles on top! I rarely eat sweets, so it was really random! DH thought it was his lucky day, though...
Last night I made a really hearty garlic tomato soup. I added some of every vegetable in the house!
